Over the past 80 years, tens of thousands of Thai Binh people have contributed their blood, strength and intelligence to the glorious revolutionary cause of the nation. From here, many artifacts associated with the resistance wars have been donated to the Provincial Museum over many periods, becoming one of the valuable sources of documents that make up the thematic exhibition "Thai Binh Army and People - 80 years accompanying the history of the nation", creating an unforgettable impression on every viewer.

Cherish the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers

Every time a special exhibition is organized, the Provincial Museum is always a familiar destination for students of all levels. Visiting the exhibition "Thai Binh Army and People - 80 years of accompanying the history of the nation" with 5th grade students, teacher Cao Thi Hong Thai, Le Hong Phong Primary School (Thai Binh City) emotionally expressed: Today, the children were able to see with their own eyes many relics of the soldiers of the past, and listen to explanations about the hardships and sacrifices of our ancestors during the years of fighting against the French and the Americans, especially the specific images of the soldiers, the children all expressed their admiration and gratitude. Surely after this visit, the children will have more spiritual motivation to strive, try to realize their dreams, follow in the footsteps of their ancestors to protect their homeland and country.

The exhibition attracted the attention of many young soldiers.

As one of the young soldiers visiting the exhibition at the Provincial Museum, soldier Ngo Dang Hung, Regiment 568, Provincial Military Command said: When we learn more about the historical achievements and traditions of the Thai Binh army and people, the feeling in me is deep pride in the land and people of my homeland. I hope that the beautiful image of Uncle Ho's soldiers will always spread to future generations, especially students.

For Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Hoa, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Provincial Military Command, he was very moved by the exhibition including images of all military branches in the entire army, thereby introducing to visitors the 80-year history of the tradition of the Vietnam People's Army.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Hoa shared: The exhibition has very meaningful content, propagating to all classes of people, especially helping the young generation as well as officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces better understand the history and 80-year tradition of the Vietnam People's Army, the contributions of the army and people of Thai Binh to the history of the nation. The contents are introduced in detail from the establishment of the Vietnam People's Army on December 22, 1944 to the present; the process of fighting and growing up in the resistance war as well as in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Beautify the homeland tradition

The thematic exhibition “Thai Binh Army and People - 80 years accompanying the history of the nation” includes nearly 300 documents, images, and artifacts, focusing on 4 content sections: The birth of the Vietnam People's Army; Thai Binh Army and People accompanying the history of the nation; some typical generals from Thai Binh through the two great resistance wars of the nation and Thai Binh with the national defense movement. The exhibition creates a realistic, vivid picture, widely propagating the tradition of fighting the enemy, defending the country and the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers.

At the exhibition, visitors were impressed with many artifacts presented by the Hero of the People's Armed Forces Pham Tuan. Through artifacts such as: the certificate of merit from Tien Hai High School given to Pham Tuan's students in 1964, the certificate of merit from the Air Force Command given to Captain Pham Tuan for his many achievements in the emulation movement to win in 1974, the badge of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, pilot's shirt... the story of the life of the hero Pham Tuan becomes very close.

In addition, many artifacts donated by the families of the martyrs are solemnly displayed. Among them is a group of artifacts of the martyr, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Vu Quang Chuong, from Thuy Truong commune (Thai Thuy) - former Commander of the 2A/DK1/6 Phuc Nguyen A platform, DK1 Battalion, Navy. The martyr heroically sacrificed his life in the collapse of the DK1 platform after storm No. 8 - storm Faith raged in the southern sea and island area, on December 13, 1998. The group of artifacts includes: cameras and flash lights, 3-section sticks, many martial arts books... proving the learning and working process at the unit of the son of Thai Binh homeland before the historic storm in 1998.

Mr. Vu Hong Thai, Chairman of the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Tradition Association of Thai Binh province shared: I am very moved and proud of the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army, Uncle Ho's soldiers, the army and people of the whole country who have contributed to the cause of national liberation and reunification. The exhibits on display show great efforts and dedication, through which the people of all walks of life deeply understand that many children of the Party Committee and people of Thai Binh heroically sacrificed to have today.

With opening time from December 10 to 23, the exhibition “Thai Binh Army and People - 80 years accompanying the nation’s history” will certainly be a meaningful destination for thousands of students in the province. Thereby, contributing to raising the awareness and responsibility of today’s generation in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
