The US President's "Beast" is about to have a new generation

Plans to upgrade the US Secret Service's security vehicle system and President Donald Trump's The Beast were agreed upon during a meeting between Secret Service Director Sean Curran and GM executives at the Global Design Center in Warren, Michigan.

The new Secret Service SUV is based on the Chevrolet Suburban platform and incorporates the exterior design of the Cadillac Escalade. Images released at the meeting show the vehicle has a massive shape, thick tires and an American flag on the hood.

Experts say this model could be an upgrade from GM Defense's Suburban Shield but equipped with protective armor, bulletproof glass and an advanced security system.

In addition to the dedicated SUV, GM is also implementing a project to develop a new generation of the US president's limousine The Beast , commonly known as "The Beast".

According to Reuters, GM received a $14.8 million contract from the Department of Homeland Security and the Secret Service in September 2024, with the total estimated cost potentially reaching $40.8 million. The vehicles are expected to be delivered in 2029.

The current version of the Beast limousine launched in 2018, based on the chassis of the GMC TopKick heavy-duty truck, weighs up to 9,100 kg and is equipped with many advanced protection systems.
