In 2024, Hanoi Law University (HLU) will recruit 2,500 students by 4 methods, but 2,400 students will be considered based on high school transcripts and high school graduation exam scores.
On March 15, Hanoi Law University announced that it would maintain stable enrollment targets and methods for four majors: Law, Economic Law, International Commercial Law, and English Language (majoring in Legal English).
The school’s admission methods include direct admission; consideration of candidates participating in the monthly, quarterly, and yearly rounds of the Road to Olympia contest; consideration of academic records; and based on high school graduation exam scores. Of these, nearly 2,400 out of a total of 2,500 quotas will be considered based on academic records and exam scores.
With the graduation exam score review method, Hanoi Law University sets the minimum admission score at 20 for the C00 combination (Literature, History, Geography), and 18 points for other majors (excluding priority points), applicable to candidates applying to the school's campus in Hanoi.
For the International Commercial Law and English Language majors, candidates must have an English score of 7 or higher. If applying to the school’s branch in Dak Lak, candidates must achieve a score of 15 or higher.
With the method of considering academic records, candidates must have excellent academic performance in all 10th and 11th grades and the first semester of 12th grade. The first semester of 12th grade results for each subject in the combination must be 7.5 points or higher. At the Dak Lak branch, candidates only need to have two semesters of excellent academic performance, and the first semester of 12th grade scores for all subjects in the combination must be 7 or higher.
In both methods, in addition to the priority points prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training, the school adds 1.5 incentive points for candidates from specialized and gifted high schools. If there are awards in competitions for excellent students, science and technology competitions or medals in sports competitions, candidates will also receive 0.5-1.5 points.
Hanoi Law University converts international language certificates into foreign language scores when candidates are considered based on their academic records. For example, in English, candidates with IELTS 5.5 or higher will be awarded 9 points or higher in this subject.
