Women in Ben Tre province - "godmothers" of orphans caused by storm Yagi

Ben Tre Provincial Association adopted 9 orphaned children from Lao Cai province caused by storm No. 3 (Yagi) in September 2024.

Faced with this great loss, the Women's Union of Ben Tre province has promoted the spirit of mutual love, calling on organizations, individuals, cadres, members and women in the province to contribute funds to support orphans directly affected by storm No. 3 to overcome difficulties and continue their lives.

In response to the call, the provincial Associations have committed to sponsoring 9 orphans living with relatives in the communes of Muong Hoa, Ngu Chi Son, Coc Lau, Thai Giang Pho, Nam Luc, A Mu Sung, Khanh Yen Thuong, Thai Giang Pho, and Ta Cu Ty in Lao Cai province. Accordingly, each child will receive quarterly financial support with a total budget of up to 54 million VND.

The program of sponsoring children orphaned by natural disasters of the Provincial Women's Union not only brings practical support to the children but also demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and love between localities across the country. This is also a clear demonstration of the community's concern for difficult circumstances, especially children affected by natural disasters.

The Provincial Women's Union hopes that more organizations and individuals will join hands to support children orphaned by natural disasters, helping them have better conditions to study, develop and move towards a brighter future.
