Implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2021 - 2025 period, Phu Ninh district has deployed many practical activities with the participation of all levels, sectors, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to promote social security, create livelihoods, increase income, contribute to improving people's lives, and help reduce poverty sustainably.

Implementing the Movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind", the Phu Ninh District Fatherland Front Committee has coordinated well in social security work, mobilizing support for the "For the Poor" Fund. In 5 years, the district-level "For the Poor" Fund has mobilized nearly 3.5 billion VND, 47 poor households have been supported to repair and rebuild with a total support of more than 1.5 billion VND, helping 681 poor households develop production with a total amount of 745 million VND, supporting poor students with 131 gifts, and supporting sudden difficulties for 156 households. Not only from the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels but also from the funds of the Red Cross, Farmers' Association, Women's Union, Veterans' Association... and the support of philanthropists, businesses, organizations, and individuals who have unanimously shared to have more solidarity houses, humanitarian houses, "Farmer's Affection" shelters, "Loved-Hearted Homes", "Comrades' Affection" shelters...
This result is of great significance, affirming the strong will and determination of the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and all classes of people in the district to help poor households, poor people and vulnerable groups escape poverty sustainably, have a fuller and more prosperous life so that no one is left behind.
As a mountainous commune of Phu Ninh district, Phu Nham has promoted the implementation of social security work to help poor households have the conditions to escape poverty. In order to have roofs for the poor, have more Tet gifts for poor households, along with the attention of superiors, the Party Committee, local authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Phu Nham commune have had creative ways to mobilize, have more resources to carry out social security work, eliminate temporary houses, and take care of people's health.
Chairwoman of the Phu Nham Commune Fatherland Front Committee Duong Thi Kim Chi shared: In addition to the support from the “For the Poor” Fund and socio-political organizations, when implementing the construction of houses for households, we mobilized construction material stores to sell to households at cost price, mobilized people in the commune to donate fans, rice cookers, household appliances, helping households stabilize their lives and escape poverty. In addition, we also mobilized people in the commune and benefactors to support families in sudden difficulties and those suffering from serious illnesses.
Phu Ninh district has also focused on developing education, creating vocational training opportunities, and training skills for rural workers, helping them increase their income. In 2024, the district organized a job fair at Phu Ninh High School with the participation of 20 units and enterprises inside and outside the district, organizing 3 vocational training classes for over 80 students; The district People's Committee coordinated with the district's Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education to organize a training class on raising and preventing diseases for chickens for 27 students who are people in Gia Thanh commune... thereby increasing the rate of trained workers and increasing income for people.
Implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021 - 2025, Phu Ninh district has deployed many programs and projects to support livelihoods, helping people escape poverty and develop the economy in a sustainable direction. From the capital of the project on diversifying livelihoods and developing poverty reduction models under the National Target Program on Poverty Reduction, Phu Ninh district has invested in 121 breeding cows to give to poor, near-poor and newly escaped poverty households in the communes of Phu Loc, Binh Phu, Ha Giap, Tien Phu, Phu My, Phu Ninh, Phu Nham and Tram Than. Giving "fishing rods" is also to motivate poor households to have the conditions to develop the economy, while providing opportunities to escape poverty for many households each year. From there, promoting efficiency, contributing to reducing the rate of poor and near-poor households, promoting local socio-economic development. Up to now, the multidimensional poverty rate of Phu Ninh district is only 1.36%, down compared to the previous year.
