On the afternoon of February 7, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a meeting with exemplary officials of the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned city-level tasks by the Party and State on the occasion of the Spring of Giap Thin 2024.
Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Organization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Tran Kim Yen, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Nguyen Manh Cuong, Member of the City Party Committee, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the efforts of outstanding individuals, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State at the city level. These are also the factors that have organized activities to care for the people, thereby improving the material and spiritual life of the people, creating consensus to maintain close ties between the Party and the people.
According to the Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the cadres present today are exemplary core forces, with prestige, responsibility and dedication to mobilize social resources, care for people in all aspects of life and society. Activities to care for Tet in particular and all aspects of life for people are organized with diverse content and methods; bringing profound humane and benevolent values; achieving positive results from the city level to the grassroots level.
At the meeting, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc also hoped that in 2024, comrades in leadership roles would continue to direct the organization of more practical programs, concretizing the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit", emphasizing that the factor of people benefiting is extremely important.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc sent wishes of health and happiness to the delegates attending the program. The Organizing Committee also presented Tet gifts to exemplary officials and leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, political and social organizations of wards, communes and towns; and Chairmen of mass organizations assigned by the Party and State to perform city-level tasks.

In 2023, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and socio-political organizations organized many typical activities and movements such as: Continuing to promote the implementation of the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; successfully organizing many practical activities to welcome the 12th City Trade Union Congress, term 2023 - 2028; continuing to implement the Program "One million initiatives - efforts, overcoming difficulties, creativity, determination to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic... In addition, organizing many activities to care for people before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2024 with a total budget of more than 369 billion VND.
