On the morning of October 5, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training coordinated with the National Traffic Safety Committee, Honda Vietnam Company and the Motor Vehicle Insurance Fund to organize a ceremony to mobilize students to strictly comply with traffic safety laws in the 2024-2025 school year.

According to the National Traffic Safety Committee, in the first 9 months of 2024, there were more than 17,800 traffic accidents nationwide, killing more than 8,100 people and injuring more than 13,000. Traffic accidents involving students accounted for about 40% of the total number of traffic accidents nationwide.

At the launching ceremony, the Ministry of Education and Training called on relevant agencies and educational institutions to focus on promoting and educating traffic safety through more practical activities, contributing to raising awareness, sense of law compliance and promoting the role and responsibility of schools, management staff, teachers, workers, students in ensuring traffic safety and order. At the same time, strengthen coordination in handling violations as well as strictly implementing signed programs. Educate students on life skills so that they have the knowledge to handle bad situations in traffic when they arise.

Also in the program, representatives of the leaders of 5 Departments of Education and Training, 5 universities and academies in Hanoi and the northern provinces signed a commitment with the Ministry of Education and Training and the National Traffic Safety Committee to strengthen traffic safety education in the 2024-2025 school year.

Motor Vehicle Insurance Fund - Vietnam Insurance Association donated 500 standard helmets to students.

After the launching ceremony, at Phu Tho bridge, representatives of the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police, Head Binh Minh Phu Tho system propagated the law on road traffic safety and instructed safe motorbike and scooter driving skills for students of Viet Tri High School.
