Compassionate software to search for information about martyrs' graves

With the tradition of drinking water and remembering its source - repaying gratitude, the young generation has joined hands to build the software Stream of History, an application to search and connect information nationwide to support the search for relatives and the collection of martyrs' graves.

During the resistance wars for national liberation and defense of the Fatherland, our country has about 1.2 million outstanding children who have fallen. According to the National Steering Committee on searching, gathering and identifying martyrs' remains, there are many cases where there is still a lack of or complete lack of search information. In order to contribute to the search and gathering of martyrs' remains to bring them back to their families, the Vietnam-ASEAN Entrepreneurship Development Research Institute, the Center for Traditional and Historical Education and the Idea-Startup technology ecosystem have implemented the software Stream of History - an application for searching and connecting information about relatives and martyrs' graves.

After many years of searching for teammates manually, this activity will now be greatly supported by advances in science and technology.

Mr. Le Xuan Niem - Director of the Center for Traditional Education and Vietnamese History shared: " For a long time, we have been searching for martyrs' graves to report to localities and families to help ease the pain of war . During that process , due to undeveloped scientific conditions, we only did it manually, that is, dividing ourselves to go to cemeteries , then examining the names of martyrs on each grave with enough information to make a list , bind it into a book and then share the information with the families ". Currently, when applying the innovation of science and technology to help search for and report martyrs' graves   To overcome the pain and consequences of war, Mr. Niem feels extremely meaningful. For him personally, this is an activity that helps millions of families who have not been able to welcome their loved ones back after the war to have more hope. For the implementation team, because they understand the difficulties, hardships, worries, and wishes of the relatives of heroes and martyrs who sacrificed, the team built this application. This is not only a technical application but also a project with deep humanistic values. The application of modern technology and scientific methods in the process of searching for relatives of heroes and martyrs and verification has brought about encouraging results, helping many families find their loved ones, share the pain of loss and spread messages of love. According to Mr. Le Trung Hieu, Founder of Idea & Startup Creative Eco System platform, there have been many cases of martyrs' remains with clear information that have been brought back to their families by teammates or search groups over the years. But there are also martyrs whose information has not been clearly identified when they passed away, so their relatives have not been found. Or there are martyrs who have complete information but have not yet determined where their families are. Therefore, the connection of the application will help each individual who participates to contribute information, which can be accurate or approximate, for the system to process and match the information together, then send it to the family and the authorities. Mr. Hieu shared: "The historical stream is a digital product of contributed data, helping relatives access and search, connecting information with State agencies, government agencies in places that manage data. This can help relatives find the necessary information in the shortest time" . The historical stream - searching for relatives and martyrs' graves is not only a technological application, but also a symbol of gratitude, national solidarity, contributing to building and strengthening pride in the glorious past of the country. Above all, this activity will also promote historical values ​​and educate patriotism for the younger generation.
