In Phu Giao district, the local government held a groundbreaking ceremony to build a house for the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Gai, Bau Cam hamlet, An Long commune, a household facing housing difficulties. Comrade Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and the provincial delegation attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, comrade Nguyen Van Loi emphasized that the program of “eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses” is a policy with profound humane meaning, not only helping poor households, policy families, and households with housing difficulties to have a house, but also creating motivation for them to strive to rise up. This is also a clear demonstration of the attention of the Party, the State and the whole society, promoting the tradition of mutual love, joining hands to care for and help those in difficult housing situations to “settle down and make a living”.
Comrade Nguyen Van Loi suggested that Phu Giao district and other localities, in addition to the State budget, need to step up mobilizing organizations, individuals, and philanthropists to join hands to effectively implement the movement; strive to complete the program before June 30, contributing to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide".
At the groundbreaking ceremony to repair the house of Ms. Pham Thi Huong, Tan Long Hamlet, Bach Dang Commune (Tan Uyen City), Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha said that after checking, the whole province currently has 470 temporary and dilapidated houses. From now until April 30, 2025, the province is determined to complete the construction and repair of at least 50% of temporary and dilapidated houses in the whole province. In addition to taking care of housing, the province also mobilizes philanthropists and businesses to join hands to take care of people in difficult circumstances to have a better life. It is known that each newly built house will be supported with 100 million VND; each repaired house will be supported with 50 million VND. Binh Duong was also assigned by the Central Government to support the two provinces of Nghe An and Bac Lieu to implement the program of "eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses", with a total amount of 90 billion VND. |
According to the plan, in 2025, the entire Phu Giao district will support the construction and repair of 21 houses for policy families, meritorious people, poor households, and near-poor households facing housing difficulties with a total cost of 2 billion VND. Of which, 19 new houses will be built, each house will receive a support of 100 million VND; 2 houses will be repaired, each house will receive 50 million VND. Of which, the province will support 550 million VND, the rest will be taken from the local Fund for the Poor, and sources mobilized from benefactors.
Help people have a better life
Also on the morning of March 25, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, along with leaders of departments, branches and local authorities of Tan Uyen City, attended the groundbreaking ceremony to repair the house of Ms. Pham Thi Huong, Tan Long Hamlet, Bach Dang Commune. According to local authorities, Ms. Huong has lived alone for many years in a temporary house with a corrugated iron roof, lacking living facilities. On this occasion, the Steering Committee for "Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses" of the province supported 105 million VND to build a new house for her on an area of 40 square meters. Along with that, the delegation supported Ms. Huong with many valuable gifts.
In addition to taking care of households on the list of temporary and dilapidated houses to be eliminated in the locality, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha requested the leaders of Tan Uyen City, departments and branches to continue to review households with difficult circumstances, unemployed children, and low incomes, from which there will be plans to support and help increase income, so that every family can have a relatively full life. "On behalf of the provincial leaders, I would like to thank businesses, philanthropists, and local authorities for their efforts, joint efforts, and solidarity with the province to effectively implement the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for people in the province," said Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha.
On the same morning, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha and the delegation also visited and presented gifts to the family of Mrs. Tran Tuyet Ngoc, residing in Tan Trach hamlet, Bach Dang commune; the household had just received support from the local government to repair their house in the program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" this time. The house has a total area of 35m2, and has just been supported by the local government to be repainted, replaced with corrugated iron, and re-tiled with very clean and neat floor tiles, with a total cost of 28.5 million VND (of which, the local government supported 20 million, the family contributed 8.5 million VND). Mrs. Tran Tuyet Ngoc is a single person, old and weak, living on the support of the local government, relatives, and neighbors.
- On the morning of March 25, a working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, inspected and directed the work of "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in Ben Cat City. Mr. Nguyen Van Loc and local leaders performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of houses in the Vuon Tieu residential area (Ward 1, My Phuoc Ward) for 3 policy households including: Mr. Ninh Huu Phuong (residing in Ward 3, Tan Dinh Ward), Mr. Nguyen Hien (residing in Ward 3, My Phuoc Ward) and Ms. Chau Thi Le Thu (residing in Ward 3, Chanh Phu Hoa Ward). These households are all policy beneficiaries, war invalids, sick soldiers, children of martyrs, and have faced housing difficulties for many years. On the same day, Mr. Nguyen Van Loc and the delegation directly inspected the construction of a house for Mr. Huynh Minh Kha, Tan Dinh ward; directed relevant units to urgently deploy the projects, ensuring progress and quality, helping households soon stabilize their housing. - On the morning of March 25, Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, led a working delegation to attend the groundbreaking ceremony to build a house for Mr. Le Hong Luoc's household (Xa Mach quarter, Lai Uyen town) with an area of 91m2, the land fund mobilized from benefactors totaled 400 million VND, of which the construction cost was 100 million VND. The delegation attended the groundbreaking ceremony to repair the house for the poor household of Mr. Nguyen Van Hai (Cay San quarter) and build a house for Ms. Hoang Thi Dau (Dong Cheo quarter) and Ms. Vo Thi Mai Huong (Bau Long quarter) in Lai Uyen town. - On the morning of March 25, at Chanh Hung hamlet, Hieu Liem commune, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Hieu Liem commune held a groundbreaking ceremony to build a house for the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Be, a disabled soldier of March 2. Attending were Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hang, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, along with leaders and representatives of departments, branches and sectors of Binh Duong province. The funding to build a new house for Mr. Be's family was mobilized from socialized sources, of which the People's Committee of Hieu Liem commune mobilized 50 million VND and the People's Committee of Bac Tan Uyen district mobilized a contribution of 50 million VND. - Responding to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide" launched by the Prime Minister, on the morning of March 25, Dau Tieng district held a groundbreaking ceremony to build a house for Mr. Nguyen Van Nho's family (Phuoc An hamlet, Dinh An commune) who has difficult housing circumstances. Attending were Ms. Nguyen Minh Thuy, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, and representatives of departments and branches. On this occasion, the working delegation also inspected, surveyed, and directed the preparation for the groundbreaking ceremony to build a new house for Mr. Pham Duc Thanh's family in An Phuoc hamlet, Dinh An commune. - On the same day, the provincial working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee, inspected, directed and attended the groundbreaking ceremony to remove temporary and dilapidated houses in Thu Dau Mot City. In Dinh Hoa Ward, the delegation attended the groundbreaking ceremony to repair the house of Ms. Huynh Thi Kim Anh. The delegation also inspected the actual construction site to repair the temporary and dilapidated house of Mr. Nguyen Van To, in Quarter 6, Tuong Binh Hiep Ward. - On the morning of March 25, Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Di An City Party Committee attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new house for Mr. Tran Van Chau's family, Binh Minh 2 Quarter, Di An Ward. The total value of Mr. Chau's new house is 150 million VND, of which the City's Fund for the Poor supported 100 million VND, Di An City mobilized 30 million VND and Di An Ward mobilized 20 million VND. - On the morning of March 25, a working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Thuan An City Party Committee, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of new houses for disadvantaged policy families and poor households in An Thanh Ward (Thuan An City), including: Ms. Cao Thi Nho (Thanh Loi Quarter); Mr. Nguyen Van Rong (Thanh Loi Quarter) and Ms. Le Thi No (Thanh Hoa B Quarter).
