The delegation was led by Comrade Pham Quang Dung, Member of the Standing Committee, Chief of the Party Committee Office, Chairman of the Group's Veterans Association; the delegation included Comrade Nguyen Viet Nga - Deputy Head of the Group's Communications and Corporate Culture Department, Comrade Luong Thi Hong Nhung - Head of the Propaganda Department - Women's Union of Vietnam Oil and Gas; along with officials of the Party Committee Office, the Group's Communications and Corporate Culture Department, Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union, representatives of PVcomBank, PVChem, PV GAS, PVCFC.
Due to the impact of storm No. 3 (Yagi) with very strong intensity making landfall in the northern provinces, causing heavy damage to people and property in many provinces and cities, including Thai Binh, Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh; making people's lives and production extremely difficult.
Before, during and after the storm, all levels, sectors and people of Thai Binh, Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh provinces focused on strongly and synchronously implementing many solutions to prevent, combat and reduce damage caused by storms and floods, as well as quickly repair and restore infrastructure, schools, support people to overcome difficulties and rebuild their lives after storms and floods.
At the meeting, on behalf of Petrovietnam employees, comrade Pham Quang Dung shared the losses that the Party Committee, government and people of Thai Binh, Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh provinces suffered due to the impact of storm No. 3.
With the spirit of sharing and affection of the Oil and Gas people, Petrovietnam and its member units PVcomBank, PVChem, PVGAS, PVCFC joined hands to support and give a total of 3 billion VND to Thai Binh, Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh provinces, to encourage and help localities and people overcome the consequences of storms and floods, and soon stabilize their lives.
Comrade Pham Quang Dung hopes that the sentiments of the Oil and Gas people, through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the provinces, will soon reach the people, especially the households and individuals who were severely affected by storm No. 3. Thereby contributing to helping localities quickly overcome the consequences of storms and floods, stabilize and develop.
As of September 18, 2024, Petrovietnam, its member units, mass organizations and oil and gas workers have registered and contributed 44.65 billion VND. Petrovietnam has and plans to provide support to 21 provinces/cities and the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting. In addition, Petrovietnam undertakes the reconstruction of the entire residential area of Kho Vang village, Coc Lau commune, Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province.
