At around 8am, many motorbikes were stopped at a red light at the Vo Tran Chi - The Lu intersection in Tan Nhut commune when a cement tanker truck came from behind. The truck collided with 4 motorbikes and then crashed into the median strip on the side of the road. Three injured people were taken to the emergency room.
At the scene, a motorbike was trapped under the tanker truck, and many others were damaged and lying on the road. Debris, shoes, and helmets were scattered everywhere.

The accident caused traffic congestion on Vo Tran Chi Street, the section leading to the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway. Police later arrived to investigate the scene and direct traffic. By nearly 11am, the vehicles involved in the accident were moved to clear the lane.
