Trump has raised $7 million since his indictment

Most of the donations came online, with $2.1 million coming from an event at Trump’s golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, on June 13, after he appeared in court to face charges in Florida. Mr Trump has maintained his innocence and said the charges are politically motivated, aimed at removing him, who is the Republican Party's leading candidate, from the 2024 White House race and also targeting Republican voters. This tactic of the former White House owner is said to have been effective. The most recent Reuters/Ipsos poll showed that 81% of Republicans believe the charges against Mr Trump are politically motivated. President Joe Biden's administration has affirmed that it will not interfere with the independent investigation by the Justice Department.
