Vehicle owners who already have an ETC account used on national highways and expressways can travel through the toll lanes of Noi Bai airport without needing to attach an additional card.
From November 21, Noi Bai airport organized a trial run of phase 1 for 3 exit lanes of the cashless collection system and automatic collection without stopping for entry/exit, stopping and parking services at the car park of passenger terminal T1.
Accordingly, cars that are allowed to operate on public roads according to the law (except for container trucks) are allowed to pass through the lane, including: toll-paying vehicles, priority vehicles exempted from service fees, monthly ticket vehicles, and transport business vehicles with contracts with the airport.
The trial exploitation lanes meet flexible toll collection methods such as: non-stop toll collection, cashless toll collection (payment via bank card) and cash collection for all vehicles subject to time-based service fee payment.
Vehicle owners who already have an ETC account on national highways and expressways can travel through the airport toll lane without having to stick an additional card or incur additional procedures, because these systems are integrated synchronously.
According to statistics, every day at Noi Bai International Airport, nearly 15,000 vehicles pay in cash through toll stations.
The collection of car fees entering and leaving the airport has always been done manually. Drivers have to stop at the entrance toll booth to get a card and pay in cash at the exit, which can easily lead to local congestion, especially during peak hours and holidays.
On the first day of the 3-lane trial run, more than 11,000 vehicles successfully passed through. Noi Bai International Airport recommends that passengers check the status of their ETC cards so that when they pass through these 3 lanes, their cards will be automatically deducted, ensuring smooth and fast traffic.
