Ho Chi Minh City Duong Tue Man (born in 2005) received admission letters from 7 American universities and decided to study Information Systems at the University of Utah.
After receiving admission results from many prestigious universities in the US such as San Francisco University, Binghamton University, University at Buffalo, Indiana University, Stony Brook University, University of Utah and Penn State Behrend University, Tue Man considered a scholarship worth 10,000 USD.
The school where Tue Man is currently studying is a member of the exclusive Association of American Universities, ranked by The Wall Street Journal as the top 1 public university in the Western United States.
"Studying in a world-class educational environment, I am very honored and proud to be Vietnamese," she shared.
Besides personal efforts, Duong Tue Man believes that studying in a school with a liberal education foundation and being accredited by the WASC (USA) is an important stepping stone for her to reach these 7 "golden tickets". In high school, she studied at the American International School (TAS).

Throughout the process of applying for studying abroad, Tue Man encountered more challenges than advantages, despite having a highly regarded academic record. In the beginning, Tue Man encountered many difficulties from finding suitable schools to reviewing for standardized tests... In return, the female student felt lucky to have her family trust and support her in every choice.
In addition to the spiritual support from her family, teachers and academic advisors at TAS American International School have also accompanied her throughout the journey to reach her dream. The teachers provided a suitable roadmap for Tue Man to optimize her personal strengths, and at the same time, provided feedback on editing her essay to increase her competitive advantage.
"In addition to the experience of hunting for scholarships from top American schools, the teachers also wholeheartedly guided me on how to make my study abroad application beautiful. Thanks to that, I am more confident on my journey to conquer my dream," the female student added.
When she enrolled at TAS, Duong Tue Man was shy. Therefore, in her SOP (Statement of Purpose) personal essay sent to American universities, she wrote about "The journey to overcome fear to adapt flexibly". The female student recounted that this journey could not have been without the companionship of teachers and friends at TAS, who helped her integrate into the new learning environment, step out of her comfort zone and reach her big dream.

Duong Tue Man studies in a school with a total area of 18,000 m2, more than 100 classrooms, 9 science laboratories, three computer rooms, a theater, a specialized auditorium... The multi-utility facilities here have met all her learning and development needs. After class, female students can enrich their knowledge in two libraries with more than 18,000 reference books or exercise and relax at the basketball court system, swimming pool, mini golf course... according to international standards.
The former TAS student advises young people who dream of studying abroad to prepare early, be proactive and not give up. In addition to investing in studying to improve their achievements, Tue Man's secret to successfully conquering the "American dream" is participating in extracurricular activities.
Nurturing the dream of studying abroad from an early age, the girl born in 2005 actively participated in many extracurricular activities of the school. At TAS, Man can freely choose clubs in many fields, from sports to arts, and soft skills training.

Finally, according to Tue Man, students should choose a learning environment that helps them to fully exploit their potential, equipping them with "survival" skills when entering more challenging levels of education such as university. For him, the knowledge acquired at TAS is the most valuable asset, helping him to quickly integrate and develop well in a new environment.
"The comprehensive educational environment at TAS helps me develop all my personal strengths and quickly integrate with teachers and friends. The people around me also inspire me to change myself in a positive and more confident direction," Man added.
