Ms. Nguyen Hoai An, the video's owner, said that the image of teachers happily hugging each other and running down the classroom hallway until their slippers broke was recorded by students. This image took place at Pham Kiet High School, in the mountainous district of Ba To, Quang Ngai province.

Efforts of teachers and students

After teachers received the results of the students winning prizes in the Traffic Safety Education contest organized by the Department of Education and Training, everyone was very surprised.

The teacher in the video is Mr. Phan Van Trinh (born in 1995) who has worked at the school for 3 years.

Talking to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Trinh shared that after receiving the award from the Department of Education and Training in the office, seeing that his students won 1 first prize and 1 third prize, he could not contain his joy and ran to find them to tell them the news.

Principal Ngo Van Hai

Every little achievement of students is a great joy and motivation for teachers, so when students achieve such outstanding achievements, teachers are very happy, bursting with indescribable happiness.

“I don’t know how to describe my feelings at that moment, I just knew that I was overwhelmed and wanted to go find them right away. Because I was so happy, I ran to the wrong class, and then I realized that my sandal had broken,” Mr. Trinh laughed.

Mr. Trinh said that achieving such results was due to the students' tireless efforts. Upon receiving the document from the Quang Ngai Department of Education and Training, he and his students began to come up with ideas and carry out the exam.

However, due to difficult facilities and poor working conditions, this process encounters many obstacles.

Printing services are difficult, there is no place near the school to print color pictures, forcing teachers and students to send buses to the city to print, then bring them back to school to continue.

Many times teachers and students have to work until 2am, write until late at night to meet deadlines. In addition, teachers and students have to find materials that meet the contest's requirements, are relevant to current events, and are creative.

“When I took the test, I didn’t think that my students and I would win such a high prize. I was afraid that our quality wouldn’t be as good as our students in the plains. While taking the test, we just tried our best and put our faith in the test,” said Mr. Trinh.

Ms. Nguyen Hoai An said that due to limited time and the school's specific nature, there is a shortage of teachers, each teacher holds many different positions, so guiding students during the exam process is urgent.

Regarding the contest rules, each unit can only submit 10 entries. Luckily, all 10 entries from the school won prizes (4 first, 1 second, 5 third). This is an achievement of great spiritual value to the school and students.

Hope you have a better future

Sharing his concerns about his career, Mr. Trinh said that the conditions for students to go to school here are extremely difficult. Especially during the rainy season, many students have to wade across rivers and streams.

Their parents often work far away, especially during the coffee season, and no one cares for them. Many children go to school in the morning and afternoon, and have to work extra in the evening to earn income to support their families.

Sympathizing with the students' circumstances, the teacher always tries to promote all his roles to help them have better learning conditions. He hopes that after finishing high school, his students will have more stable jobs.

According to Mr. Ngo Van Hai, principal of Pham Kiet High School, the teachers assigned to the above task, including Mr. Trinh, are dynamic teachers and very dedicated to their students.

Furthermore, the school does not have any specialized teachers in this field, so enthusiasm and determination are the prerequisites for the school to assign tasks.

Pham Kiet High School has about 540 students, mainly Hre ethnic people.

“Every little achievement of the students is a great joy and motivation for teachers, that is why when the students achieve such outstanding achievements, teachers are very happy, bursting with indescribable happiness,” Mr. Ngo Van Hai emotionally shared.
