According to Mr. Vu Le Huy - Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology (General Department of Taxation), based on the orientation of the Government and the Ministry of Finance, the tax sector aims to develop an integrated and centralized information technology system, ensuring that people and businesses are at the center, transparency, efficiency, increasing work processing speed, reducing operating costs, as well as ensuring the consistency and effectiveness of state management.
According to the representative of the General Department of Taxation, in the coming time, the tax sector will build an integrated and centralized information technology system to meet the requirements of processing and providing information for tax management and direction of tax authorities, and providing electronic services to taxpayers.
Specifically, the tax sector will develop an integrated, centralized tax management system, ensuring people and businesses are at the center, transparency, efficiency, promoting administrative reform through the application of information technology, reducing operating costs, as well as ensuring the consistency and effectiveness of state management according to the Government's orientation on e-Government and digital transformation.
Providing electronic services and electronic data will facilitate taxpayers with better experiences in the direction of developing applications on mobile devices, towards digitizing all records and documents, switching to using electronic records and documents, electronic transactions and providing public services regardless of time and administrative boundaries.
The tax sector will continue to build integrated platforms and big data platforms to provide complete information for management and operation, connecting and exchanging information between state management agencies.
Along with that, applying new technological achievements of the 4.0 industrial revolution, in accordance with international standards to automatically process tax management processes and analyze big data to serve policy making, revenue forecasting, propaganda to support taxpayers, risk management, compliance management and tax inspection and examination.
In the near future, the General Department of Taxation will build a risk management application system based on data collection from operational applications and from third parties (banks, natural resources and environment agencies, police agencies, etc.) or data collected from social networks and the internet, then analyze according to criteria or apply artificial intelligence (big data analysis, using machine learning methods) to serve tax management in the fields of e-commerce, anti-transfer pricing, related-party transactions, tax management for real estate, etc.
