After 18 years of operation (2005-2023), Bac Giang Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion Center has made significant contributions to the development of industry and trade in the province.

Good performance in the first 6 months of the year

In the first 6 months of 2023, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion has done a good job of advising, developing documents and plans on industrial promotion, trade promotion and energy saving activities; industrial promotion work; trade promotion work and energy saving work.

Regarding industrial promotion , in 2023, the Bac Giang Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion was assigned by the Minister of Industry and Trade to implement 2 national industrial promotion projects, with a total budget of 2,400 million VND, to support 8 enterprises in applying advanced machinery and equipment in production. In the first 6 months of the year, the organization implemented 2/2 projects, with 50% of the work completed.

Enterprises supported by the Center include: Thanh Phat Precision Mechanical Co., Ltd., Thuan Phat Automation Joint Stock Company, QHTECH Co., Ltd., Alpha Vina Mechanical and Automation Joint Stock Company, Thong Nhat Service and Trading Joint Stock Company, HERO GREEN Co., Ltd., ADENCO Medicinal Mushroom Co., Ltd., EMOSS Vietnam Food Co., Ltd....

In the provincial industrial promotion plan, from the provincial budget for industrial promotion activities in 2023 of 3,500 million VND, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee approved support for the implementation of 17 projects. As a result, in the first 6 months of the year, 16/17 approved projects were implemented.

In particular, in the first half of 2023, the Center has implemented trade promotion activities with many innovations in content, form and coordination. The Center has organized the implementation of 16/19 contents, with the completed work volume reaching 60%.

Specifically: organizing events, conferences and activities to promote the consumption of lychees and key agricultural products, typical of the province. At the same time, coordinating with the People's Committee of Tan Yen district to organize a conference to promote the early consumption of Tan Yen lychees; coordinating with the People's Committee of Luc Ngan district to organize a conference to promote the consumption of lychees in the form of direct and online combination in Luc Ngan district and the Ceremony of sending Luc Ngan lychees to the Southern market and to the Chinese market in 2023. Organizing the Luc Ngan tourism program in the lychee ripening season.

Up to now, the Bac Giang Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion has signed 34 cooperation agreements with agricultural wholesale markets, e-commerce trading floors, supermarket chains, and businesses to consume about 110,000 tons of lychee.

Regarding energy saving, in 6 months, the Center has organized and implemented 6/6 projects, the completed work volume reached 40% and is expected to complete 100% of the assigned plan for the whole year.

Improve industrial promotion work

In the last months of the year, the Center aims to continue to focus on implementing and striving to complete 100% of the national industrial promotion plan and the provincial industrial promotion fund usage plan; Develop, deploy, organize and complete the Project "Promoting trade promotion activities, promoting, introducing and expanding the consumption market for OCOP products through fairs and exhibitions; connecting OCOP product trade with the tourism market".

At the same time, the Center will participate in trade connection conferences, supply and demand connection conferences, exhibition fairs, etc. Continue to focus on implementing and striving to complete 100% of the Plan to implement the Program on economical and efficient use of energy in Bac Giang province in 2023 and complete the package "Implementing activities on economical and efficient use of energy, supporting businesses in implementing energy saving solutions in Bac Giang province".

According to the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion of Bac Giang province, the budget for industrial promotion activities in the province in the period of 2021-2023 reached more than 16.6 billion VND. From this source of funding, 100 units and production establishments have been supported. The new feature in industrial promotion work in the period of 2021-2023 is that support projects are built by groups and sectors, instead of individual projects as in the previous period.

For example, Anh Thao Packaging Production and Trading Company Limited and Hero Green Company Limited are supported in groups of technical demonstration models, technology transfer, application of advanced machinery, and scientific and technical advances.

The functional unit focuses on developing projects to support groups of models on processing agricultural and forestry products (mainly refined processing) that can increase added value and contribute greatly to exports and budget revenue; groups of models applying high technology in mechanical production, capable of participating deeply in the supporting industry and global supply chain.

In the 2021-2025 period, the province will mobilize resources of more than 300 billion VND (including funding from the State's support policies and from participating entities) for the industrial promotion program.

As a direct implementing unit, understanding the strengths and weaknesses of industrial promotion activities, in the coming time, the Center will study the needs of foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises in the province to focus on providing targeted support for supporting industrial projects, creating a connection between FDI enterprises and domestic enterprises.

In addition, the Center will study and amend or propose amendments to the process, procedures, and documents for requesting support from the industrial promotion fund to make it simple and easy to implement, ensuring no loss of support budget sources. At the same time, the quality of the team doing industrial promotion work will be improved.
