Efforts to help workers celebrate Tet together

Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu assessed that despite many difficulties, Hai Duong trade unions at all levels always have many practical activities aimed at union members and workers at the end of each year, for example the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market program.

On the morning of January 11, the Hai Duong Provincial Labor Federation organized the program "Happy Tet - Spring of gratitude to the Party" and opened the "2025 Trade Union Tet Market".

Overcoming difficulties towards workers

In his opening speech, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) assessed that despite many difficulties, Hai Duong trade unions at all levels still implemented many practical activities for union members and workers, especially during the Tet holiday. This is a great source of encouragement and motivation to help union members and workers work enthusiastically and produce, contributing to the development of Hai Duong.

With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor hopes that the Party committees and authorities at all levels in the province will continue to pay attention to the regime and policies for workers. Regularly organize meetings and dialogues to listen to and answer the thoughts and aspirations of workers. Unions at all levels need to do a good job of caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers.

The program "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" took place from January 11-12 at the Cultural House of the Provincial Labor Federation (Hai Duong City). Compared to previous years, this year's program is the largest in scale with 35 booths offering discounts from 15-45%.

Of these, 15 booths were organized by the Provincial Federation of Labor in coordination with enterprises, cooperatives, and business owners. The rest were booths of trade unions directly at the grassroots level. In addition to product discounts, the Organizing Committee also presented 3,000 shopping vouchers (worth VND 100,000/voucher) to union members and workers with low incomes and difficult circumstances.

It is known that the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" and "Tet Market of the Trade Union in 2025" were directed by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to be developed by specialized departments many months ago, with the expectation of being the highlight of the activities at the end of the lunar year Giap Thin (2024). The program includes a series of activities at the central and local levels with meaningful content, demonstrating the concern, encouragement and sharing of the Trade Union organization to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

At the same time, this is also an opportunity for agencies, units and enterprises to join hands to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, helping union members and workers feel secure in their work and production, and to celebrate Tet warmly, joyfully and excitedly.

Spending nearly 65 billion VND for Tet Sum Vay

According to Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Hoa, Chairwoman of the Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor, with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", all levels of the provincial Union are trying to focus all resources to take care of union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 with practical and meaningful activities.

Specifically, the provincial Trade Unions at all levels in coordination with heads of agencies, units, and employers are expected to give gifts to nearly 200,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances and with low incomes, with an amount of nearly 65 billion VND; support 3,850 union members and workers to participate in the Online Trade Union Tet Market program in 2025.

According to the Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor, at the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" and "Tet Union Market 2025", the Organizing Committee presented 500 gifts (1 million VND/gift); presented 3,000 discount vouchers (100,000 VND/voucher); supported train and bus fares to return home for Tet for 500 union members and workers far from home to return home for Tet (500,000 VND/person). The Provincial Federation of Labor also organized a "Zero-VND Booth" model at the 2025 Trade Union Market to provide many essential items for union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

Within the framework of the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" there were also many cultural activities, arts, folk games such as: "Singing for workers - Listening to workers sing", union dance, displaying the space of old Vietnamese Tet, free haircuts, tug of war, sack dance. The activities attracted thousands of union members and workers to participate.

According to Chairwoman of the Hai Duong Provincial Labor Federation Ngo Thi Thanh Hoa, the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" and "Tet Union Market 2025" are meaningful activities, demonstrating the concern, encouragement and sharing of the trade union organization for union members and workers in difficult circumstances. This is also an opportunity for agencies, units and enterprises to join hands to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, helping them to work and produce with peace of mind, to celebrate Tet warmly, joyfully and excitedly.
