Hai Phong Tourism Association has just successfully organized the Hai Phong Golden Chef Competition 2024 with the theme Local Flavors. The Ninh Binh Province Chef Team won 2 prizes: 1 Gold prize and 1 creative dish prize.
The competition had the participation of 17 teams representing hotels and restaurants in Hai Phong city and teams from many localities nominated by Tourism Associations.
This year, the teams brought 68 "classy" dishes to compete. Each team consists of 3 members (1 main chef, 2 assistant chefs), making 4 dishes within 180 minutes according to thematic groups: street snacks, famous local specialties, creative dishes from local ingredients and desserts.
The competition is organized in the following format: performing a test, presenting dishes for the judges to score, rank and award prizes: Special Golden Chef, First prize and Gold prize.
The Ninh Binh chef team brought local "specialties" to the competition, including: Trang An mountain seaweed salad (mountain navel + fern), Grilled goat with caul fat (snack, street food), Goat with durian sauce (goat ribs combined with durian) and dessert. At the end of the competition, the Ninh Binh chef team won 2 prizes, including 1 Gold prize and 1 creative dish prize.
The Hai Phong Golden Chef Competition 2024 contributes to promoting training and developing the culinary profession, honoring talented and professional chefs.
This is an opportunity to discover, introduce and promote delicious dishes, local specialties, and regional culinary features; create a playground, exchange and share experiences for chefs, and at the same time contribute to promoting local tourism development.
