Today, June 25, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung periodically received citizens in June 2024. Attending the citizen reception were leaders of departments and branches; Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities where citizens came to make recommendations and complaints.

At the meeting, 30 citizens made petitions on 21 cases, including 5 first-time petitions and 16 repeated petitions. The petitions were mainly related to land, such as requests for granting land use right certificates (LURCs); additional land allocation; compensation for site clearance not in accordance with regulations; settlement of land disputes; settlement of complaints and denunciations about land that were not resolved quickly... In addition, there was 1 petition on resolving policies for people with revolutionary contributions.
Of the 21 petitions, 4 cases were refused to receive citizens on the grounds that the petitions had been resolved by competent agencies and local authorities in accordance with legal regulations.
There are 5 first petitions, including the cases of Ms. Phung Thi Phuong Mai, in Quarter 4, Ward 1, Dong Ha City, petitioning for the adjacent household to build illegally, blocking the way; Phan Thi Hau, in Quarter 7, Ward 5, Dong Ha City, petitioning for unsatisfactory land clearance; Vo Ngoan, in Dong Luong Ward, Dong Ha City, petitioning for land; Le Thi My Hanh, in Cam Vu Hamlet, Cam Thuy Commune, Cam Lo District, petitioning for land; Tran Van Nam, in Vinh Son Commune, Vinh Linh District, petitioning for handling the overlapping of family land with enterprises.
There is a mass petition, which is the case of 43 households in Nam Hieu village, Cam Hieu commune, Cam Lo district, petitioning about the construction of an overpass on National Highway 9 over the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway, affecting the lives, businesses and real estate values of the households.
The pending petitions that have not been completely resolved include the case of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tien, in Quarter 7, Ward 3, Dong Ha City (Quang Tri Newspaper has published many articles reflecting this); the petition of Mr. Ho Van Hoai, in Trieu Thuong Commune, Trieu Phong District, etc.

At the meeting with citizens, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung accepted the citizens' petitions and requested leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities to report in detail the content of the cases for new petitions; report on the progress of resolving each specific case that the Provincial People's Committee has issued written instructions.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung said that the pending cases, which have been resolved, and the people still have opinions need to be reviewed, verified, and examined for their current status and are the responsibility of the relevant agencies and local authorities. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly organize meetings to find solutions to handle and resolve pending cases. In addition, the Provincial Inspectorate is assigned to inspect and verify the content of recommendations for a number of specific cases. The Department of Justice is assigned to direct the Legal Aid Center to support citizens in exercising their rights to petition, complain, and denounce in accordance with the law, ensuring citizens' rights.
