In 2024, the Trade Union of Quang Tri Power Company (PC Quang Tri) has determined to perform well its political tasks, along with its expertise to ensure that employees, civil servants, and laborers have stable jobs and incomes, are fully equipped with means and labor protection; and fully implement policies and regimes. The distribution of salaries to employees and other benefits is guaranteed to be implemented in accordance with regulations.

Right from the beginning of the year, the union coordinated with the professional staff to organize the 2024 Company Labor Conference. In particular, it directly participated with the professional staff to review and develop the company's operating regulations. Especially focusing on the work of inspecting and supervising the implementation of policies directly related to employees, and implementing the grassroots democracy regulations well. Under the direction of the Central Power Corporation, the support of the provincial leaders and agencies, departments and branches in the province, and the efforts of all employees, workers, and PC Quang Tri has overcome difficulties, ensuring electricity supply for the province's socio-economic development, completing assigned tasks, achieving and exceeding many planned targets.
Accordingly, the power system of Quang Tri province in recent years has been operated safely, providing stable quality electricity, serving socio-economic development, national defense - security, and people's daily needs.
In early 2024, Quang Tri PC Union launched the emulation movement "Ensuring traffic safety", the emulation movement to build a "Bright, green, clean, beautiful" working environment, "Building a strong trade union organization", the emulation movement "Green, clean, beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and health" and the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework".
Up to now, 100% of union members and employees in the company have participated in the emulation movement "EVNCPC family and union members save electricity" launched by the Corporation and the Corporation's Union from April to the end of August 2024; mobilizing union members to actively participate in the EVN RUN - Joining hands - Unanimously - Lighting up belief.
In addition, the PC Quang Tri Trade Union continues to propagate the implementation of Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation" in conjunction with the propaganda of resolutions of the Party Committee and resolutions of trade union congresses at all levels.
Deploying research, learning, thoroughly grasping and propagating the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union among cadres, union members and workers in conjunction with propagating the 2024 theme of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) on "Focusing on bringing the resolutions of trade union congresses at all levels into life; competing to achieve achievements to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union" and emulation movements in EVN, EVNCPC.
Promote union members and employees to participate in the online contest for employees to learn about occupational safety and health. As a result, more than 95% of the company's union members participated in the contest. Promote to employees and employees to participate in the contest to learn about the Resolution of the Trade Union Congress launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Promote and educate union members to focus on occupational safety and health, traffic safety, raise sense of responsibility in operation, incident handling, labor discipline, and environmental protection awareness. Mobilize 100% of union members not to violate social evils.
In order to promptly encourage and motivate the spirit of emulation and creative labor of cadres, civil servants, and laborers, the trade union coordinated with the professional organization to commend and reward 32 excellent civil servants, civil servants, and excellent safety and hygiene workers at the company level and summarize 5 years of the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" for the period 2019-2024.
This is an annual activity of the company's union to promote exemplary workers among the workforce, and at the same time, to encourage union members and workers to actively complete their assigned tasks. In addition, PC Quang Tri also had 1 excellent safety and hygiene worker recognized by the Vietnam Electricity Group, and 2 workers recognized as excellent workers by the Central Power Corporation.
On the occasion of Workers' Month and Children's Action Month 2024, the union organized a visit and gave gifts to Dakrong Power Company. The Union Standing Committee visited workers in difficult circumstances, with children with disabilities and serious illnesses.
The Company's Trade Union visited and encouraged employees at units working in hot weather conditions; supported units participating in overcoming and handling incidents caused by storms. Visited and presented gifts to families with preferential policies, Quang Tri School for the Disabled, Dong Ha City Street Children's Center, Huong Linh Commune (Huong Hoa District), presented gifts to orphans sponsored by the company...
Participating in the program "Connecting Hands of Love" organized by the Provincial Radio and Television Station; the grassroots trade unions of the units visited families with meritorious services and difficult cases in the area; supported the program "Tet for the poor and those in sudden difficult circumstances" of Quarter 7, Ward 3; supported the construction of the lighting system of the Martyrs' Monument House in Dong Giang Ward; supported Hoa Phong Ba Kindergarten, Con Co Island District; supported the Association of the Elderly in Ward 1; presented 10 study corners to children of female employees and laborers in difficult circumstances according to the program of the Provincial Labor Federation. The total amount of money that PC Quang Tri implemented for social activities in the first 6 months of 2024 is more than 83 million VND.
Vice President of PC Quang Tri Trade Union Nguyen Thi Dieu Thuy said that some key tasks from now until the end of 2024 are to continue to carry out propaganda and mobilize union members and workers to do a good job in occupational safety and hygiene, traffic safety; focus on completing production and business targets and tasks assigned by the Corporation.
Continue to implement Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation" to create unity in awareness and action of union members and workers determined to innovate organization and operation of trade unions.
