At the meeting

Raising the issue at the meeting, the leader of the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department said that 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, an important and proud milestone of the press in the country's development flow.

Therefore, the celebration is an occasion to review the glorious tradition, honor the noble mission of the Vietnamese revolutionary press in general and the Hue press in particular in the struggle for national independence, national unification, building and defending the Fatherland; implementing the renovation and international integration. Besides, it also encourages, motivates, praises, honors and shows gratitude to generations of journalists and press agencies with outstanding achievements; fosters andeducates the pride and love for the profession for today's journalists.

The celebration also affirms the attention and care of the Party, State, Party Committee and City Government for the press; the companionship, support, trust and expectations of the People for the development of the Vietnamese revolutionary press. Evaluate, acknowledge and commend the results and achievements of the revolutionary press over the past 100 years; determine the vision, set out the direction and tasks for the revolutionary press in the new period, especially the period of the country's rise.

At the meeting, delegates contributed many ideas to organize the anniversary ceremony to ensure its scale, solemnity, thoughtfulness, practicality and effectiveness. From there, creating a positive propaganda and dissemination effect, highlighting the role and position of the press in social life.

The celebration is scheduled to take place from June 19-20, with many activities, such as a flower offering ceremony to President Ho Chi Minh ; a rally to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day. In addition, there will be many other activities, such as the Hai Trieu Press Award, seminars, sports events, etc.
