In addition, the Ministry of Health and Vietnam Social Security have recently continuously issued many new regulations regarding the payment of medicine and supplies for health insurance patients, or lower-level hospitals are allowed to use health insurance drugs like upper-level hospitals, instead of the drug list depending on the hospital level as before.

Currently, over 92% of Vietnamese people have health insurance. With these innovations, patients are looking forward to more convenient health insurance treatment, and insurance patients will reduce the out-of-pocket payment that has increased recently due to many hospitals lacking medicine and medical supplies.

To help people better understand the innovations in health insurance regulations, what can be applied immediately, when the new referral regulations will be applied and in which cases they can be transferred, which types of drugs that people buy themselves will be directly paid for by insurance...
