This was also the time when the international container ship of the world's third largest shipping line CMA-CGM was preparing to dock, bringing goods from Nghi Son to many countries and territories around the world.

Goods are imported under the supervision of Nghi Son Port Customs Branch officers according to regulations.
At the wharf of Nghi Son International General Port, international bulk cargo ships also dock, bringing imported goods to Vietnam.
According to the plan, Nghi Son seaport system has a total of 51 wharves, including 21 general wharves, 20 specialized wharves and areas and 10 container wharves.
Up to now, 21 wharves have been invested and put into operation.
At Ocean International General Port and PTSC Thanh Hoa General Petroleum Service Port, there are also international transport ships coming to load and unload goods.

Currently, Nghi Son Port has the capacity to transport goods with an expected capacity of about 75 million tons/year.
According to statistics from the Nghi Son Port Customs Branch, the output of exported goods through the port in the first 6 months of the year reached more than 8.3 million tons, an increase of 103% over the same period. The output of imported goods through the port reached 7.4 million tons, equal to 105% over the same period. The value of exported goods through the port reached 821 million USD, the value of imported goods reached 3.8 billion USD.
Import and export activities through Nghi Son Port have brought in a large source of tax revenue for the state budget. As of July 15, the state budget revenue from import and export activities through Nghi Son Port reached VND9,205 billion.
Currently, there are more than 100 enterprises from Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh provinces... regularly exporting and importing goods through Nghi Son Port system.
Administrative procedures for customs clearance of goods have been simplified by the Nghi Son Port Customs Branch, creating favorable conditions for businesses. Currently, many businesses with import and export goods do not need to work directly but transact online with customs officers.
