District 7's first group of Executive Masters in Public Management graduates

The training program closely follows the requirements, tasks and goals of the locality, helping trainees immediately apply the knowledge they have learned to practical work at their agencies and units.

On February 29, District 7 Party Committee and Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics held a graduation ceremony for the Master of Advanced Public Management training class, academic year 2021-2023.

At the graduation ceremony, Professor and Doctor Su Dinh Thanh, Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, said that after 2 years of studying and researching, 38/42 excellent students have completed the training program and are qualified to graduate. The new masters have conducted research projects related to local practices, contributing many policies and practical solutions to develop the socio-economy of District 7.

According to Professor Su Dinh Thanh, the 4th industrial revolution and international integration are taking place strongly, having a profound impact on the socio-economy, scientific knowledge is developing rapidly, requiring the improvement of technology application, encouraging innovation to do well in professional work. Therefore, Professor Su Dinh Thanh hopes that the new masters will continue to improve their professional knowledge, foreign languages, and acquire new technology to apply in their work, contributing their efforts and intelligence to the development of Ho Chi Minh City in general and District 7 in particular.

On behalf of the district leaders, District 7 Party Secretary Vo Khac Thai said that the Senior Executive Master of Public Management training course was decided to be organized by the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee right at the peak of the Covid-19 epidemic prevention movement. Despite the difficulties, District 7 still created conditions and sent a large number of key officials for long-term training. According to comrade Vo Khac Thai, this is the first master's training course in the form of coordination between District 7 and the University of Economics for key officials of the district, with funding mostly from the budget.

In particular, with a scientifically designed training program that closely follows the requirements, tasks, and goals of District 7, it has helped trainees immediately apply their knowledge to practical management, operation, and implementation of work at agencies and units. Thereby, contributing to concretizing the District Party Committee's action program on continuing to improve the quality of human resources in the 2020-2025 period.

Comrade Vo Khac Thai affirmed that the graduation ceremony is an important milestone, the beginning of a new phase for the new masters. He hopes that, from the foundation of knowledge learned and experience, the masters will continue to promote dynamism, creativity, daring to think, knowing how to do; continue to research, propose solutions to continue building District 7 to soon become a center of quality services, healthcare, education, tourism, physical education and sports in the southern region of Ho Chi Minh City.

Through the first course, District 7 also researched, learned from experience and reviewed to continue to have a proactive plan to improve the quality of the district's key staff, in order to meet the increasingly high demand for human resources in the new situation.
