On the sidewalks of Pham Van Dong, Tran Duy Hung (Cau Giay district), Kim Ma (Ba Dinh district), Khuat Duy Tien (Thanh Xuan district)... there are many cracks and dents on the stones.

Nguyen Thi Minh Anh, a first-year student at the University of Commerce, said: "Every day I walk along Pham Van Dong Street to go to school, so I know very well the 'bumpy' condition of this sidewalk. If you are not careful, you can easily fall into 'potholes' and get injured."

"I see that the cracked sidewalk of Tran Duy Hung is very unsightly. In addition, cars parked on the street are obstructing pedestrians," said Mr. Le Van Tuan (Cau Giay district).

Many sections even subsided, the stones were uneven, creating a rough surface.

The degradation also occurred on Trung Kinh Street (Cau Giay District).

The sidewalk of Khuat Duy Tien Street (Thanh Xuan District) is also in serious disrepair, with many sections of pavement bricks and stones broken.

Recently, at the 14th session, Thanh Xuan District People's Council agreed to the investment policy for the Nguyen Xien Street Sidewalk Improvement Project with a total estimated investment of more than 29 billion VND.

The renovation of sidewalks must be based on the specific conditions and current status of each area in Hanoi. Speaking with Tien Phong newspaper, a representative of the Department of Construction said that the Department will regularly conduct periodic and surprise inspections of sidewalk renovation and beautification activities in districts and towns in the area.
