Many universities still consider additional recruitment

MILITARY AND POLICE SCHOOLS CONSIDER SUPPLEMENTATION

The Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defense has just issued a document on additional admission to university and college training at military schools in 2023.

Specifically, according to the announcement of the Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defense, there are 10 schools considering additional admission wishes for military university training in 2023 based on the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam, on a 30-point scale. Of which, the Logistics Academy considers 10 quotas for the military logistics industry; the Military Medical Academy recruits 2 additional quotas for the medical industry and 4 quotas for the pharmaceutical industry.

Meanwhile, the Border Guard Academy considers 6 border guard quotas with different scores for receiving applications depending on the candidates in each region and the admission combination from 21.95 - 26.99 points. Some other units also consider additional quotas, not many of which are: Army Officer School 2 considers 19 quotas, Artillery Officer School considers 18 quotas, Information Officer School considers 5, Armored Officer School considers 9, Chemical Officer School recruits 3 candidates, Special Forces Officer School recruits 9 candidates.

The Political Officer School will consider adding 23 candidates for the Party building and state administration majors, with the admission scores depending on the candidates' regions and subject groups. In addition, two schools will consider adding candidates for basic military university and college training in 2023 (according to the Government's Project 799), including: Army Officer School 1 and Army Officer School 2.

According to information from the Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defense, the additional recruitment of military schools is not new because this situation has also occurred in previous years. In fact, compared to previous years, this year the additional recruitment is earlier.

At the end of September, some public security schools also announced additional recruitment. For example, the People's Public Security Political Academy recruited 2 female candidates for the Party building and state administration majors; the People's Security Academy also recruited 19 additional candidates for the medical major to send to the Military Medical Academy (Ministry of National Defense).

SCHOOL BRANCHES STILL HAVE MANY TARGETS

Some universities are still accepting applications for additional admission this year. The Forestry University announced additional admission for both the main campus in Hanoi and the branches in Dong Nai and Gia Lai. Accordingly, all three campuses will consider two methods at the same time: high school graduation exam scores (15 points) and academic transcript scores (18 points). Of which, the Gia Lai branch will consider 6 additional majors with 300 quotas, the Dong Nai branch will consider 15 majors with 300 quotas, while the main campus in Hanoi will consider 24 additional majors with more than 800 quotas. The school is still accepting applications until October 30.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Education announced the extension of the registration deadline for admission to the Vietnamese language and culture major for foreigners or Vietnamese people residing abroad until November 30.

Danang University is also currently recruiting for the 2023 high school academic results for its Kon Tum Branch. The score for receiving applications is 15 points, calculated based on the average score of 3 subjects in the admission group for each year of grades 10, 11 and 12. The school accepts applications until October 30.

Although the application deadline has passed at the end of September, Hong Duc University (Thanh Hoa) has additional admissions for majors such as primary education, English pedagogy, natural science pedagogy, preschool education, etc.

According to the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, based on the admission quota and the number of admitted candidates who have confirmed their enrollment, schools will consider and decide to consider additional admission rounds. In particular, the admission conditions for majors and training programs will be based on each admission method but not lower than the admission conditions of the previous round. Additional admissions can be conducted in multiple rounds until the end of December of the admission year.

According to the Head of Training Department of a university, when considering additional admissions in many rounds, schools will have training plans in many rounds suitable for each batch of candidates entering the school. Candidates who are admitted in the late round of additional admissions are still guaranteed to undergo training activities at the school like previously admitted students.
