On November 19, THACO College held the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 - 2025 school year and the 42nd Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024). Attending the ceremony were Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee; representatives of departments, branches and sectors of Quang Nam province and Nui Thanh district; training institutions associated with the College; representing THACO's Board of Directors was Mr. Doan Dat Ninh - Deputy General Director of THACO AUTO in charge of Production.
In the 2023-2024 school year, THACO College has achieved remarkable results in formal and regular training activities. Specifically, the school has met its enrollment target with 718 students; 450 students have graduated, and 100% of students who wish to work at THACO have been assigned jobs. In addition, the school has provided training to improve professional qualifications, management skills, and soft skills for 7,561 THACO Chu Lai employees; integrated training for 2,869 new employees; and occupational safety and health training for 13,327 employees of THACO companies and units nationwide and some enterprises in Quang Nam province. In particular, in 2024, the School put the Labor Safety Technical Inspection Center into operation, organizing the inspection of nearly 1,600 devices for units under THACO.
Over the past time, the school has continuously improved the quality of training through teaching methods combined with on-site practice, creating conditions for teachers and students to research and invent modern models and equipment.
In the new school year, THACO College focuses on training professional skills, vocational techniques and soft skills for students in parallel with educating ethics, lifestyle and industrial style through scientific training programs and extracurricular activities. At the same time, the College continues to exploit the advantage of being a training facility directly under the enterprise, creating conditions for students to practice and work at factories and units under THACO; arranging for high-quality college students to work at vehicle maintenance and inspection centers in Japan.
Mr. Phan Tiem - Principal of THACO College said: Currently, in the context that THACO is expanding its production and business fields, the scope of operations is not only domestically but also in Laos and Cambodia, along with the explosion of digitalization and automation, setting new requirements for improving the quality of human resource training. THACO College will overcome difficulties and challenges, constantly changing management methods, education, programs, and training quality assessment with the motto "There is no gap between school and factory, between theory and production practice".
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan highly appreciated the practical education model being implemented by THACO College, and hoped that the school would continue its mission of training quality human resources to meet the development goals of the province and neighboring regions in the coming years. To achieve that, the school needs to improve the training quality and professional qualifications of its teaching staff; organize university and graduate courses in mechanical engineering, automobile engineering, etc. to provide high-quality labor for Quang Nam in particular and the whole country in general.
On behalf of THACO's Board of Directors, Mr. Doan Dat Ninh - Deputy General Director of THACO AUTO in charge of Production Division acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements of teachers and students of THACO College in the past school year. He also sent his congratulations to the lecturers and staff of the school on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20; at the same time, he hoped that students would form a proactive learning mindset, regularly improve their knowledge, skills, and industrial style to become talented personnel, making positive contributions to the Group and society.
On this occasion, THACO College awarded 02 lecturers who won prizes at the National Vocational Education Teachers' Teaching Competition in 2024 and 11 excellent students in the 2023-2024 school year.
After 15 years of operation, THACO College has built a solid foundation in the field of vocational training, with favorable facilities, a mature team, a positive working attitude, and imbued with THACO culture. The school has become a reliable and effective training facility, not only providing human resources for THACO companies, factories, and complexes, but also providing a quality workforce for businesses in the Central region.
