Tay Ninh attracts tourists with a series of experiences when conquering Ba Den mountain peak, along with other activities imbued with Southern culture.
Known as the "roof of the South", Ba Den Mountain is associated with the legend of Linh Son Thanh Mau, and also possesses a variety of spiritual destinations such as pagodas, hermitages, caves, shrines... However, not only attracting tourists by its sacredness, Ba Den Mountain in particular and Tay Ninh in general also bring many new experiences to visitors from all over.

Tourist Pham Anh Hoa (Quang Ninh) said that to conquer the top of Ba Den mountain, she and her family traveled from Van Don airport to Ho Chi Minh City and then drove to Tay Ninh city, nearly 100 km away. Her journey took nearly 6 hours for a distance of about 1,800 km. Ms. Hoa shared that because she missed her appointment to worship Ba at the beginning of the year, on the occasion of the birthday of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara this time, she tried to arrange her work to go to Ba Den mountain to participate in the big festival.
"Being among the crowd listening to the Dharma talk, the sacred scene during the festival with thousands of flower lanterns on the mountain top gives me a feeling of peace and relaxation," said Ms. Hoa.
Like Ms. Hoa, many tourists choose Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh) as a spiritual destination to visit every year to worship, make pilgrimages and enjoy the sacred land. In the first 3 months of 2023, more than 2.5 million visitors came to Tay Ninh. The locality is also among the new destinations suggested by the travel website Vietnam Nomad .
Visit Ba Den mountain complex
Tourist Hai An (HCMC) believes that the "key" to opening the door to welcome visitors to Ba Den Mountain is the Sun World Ba Den Mountain spiritual tourism complex with its cool climate and charming scenery. The highlight is the majestic bronze statue of Buddha Tay Bo Da Son at the top of the mountain. In the central area of the complex is the Bat Nha Sutra cluster consisting of 5 black granite pillars with gold sand, carved with 12,000 Tibetan Buddhist scriptures gilded.

Right at the foot of the great Buddha statue is an exhibition area with hundreds of statues, paintings and reliefs bearing the bold style of Vietnamese Buddhism through the ages. Along with that is modern video mapping technology about the movement of the universe. Here, visitors can see with their own eyes simulated versions of classic Buddhist artworks, including many famous Buddha statues of Vietnam and the world, and at the same time worship the Buddha's relics shining in the majestic space.
The artworks are inspired by Buddhist architectural artifacts made of wood and stone dating from the 11th to 13th centuries.
A representative of Sun World Ba Den Mountain said that the tourist area focuses on preserving the cultural identity and indigenous features of Tay Ninh land, thereby bringing about clear results in attracting tourists.
Many typical Southern activities
Having the opportunity to visit Ba Den Mountain during the recent April 30 holiday, Mr. Le Thanh Son (Hanoi) said that Tay Ninh was not on his list of tourist destinations before, but when he learned about the amateur music festival, he and his friends decided to come here to enjoy it.
"This land has changed a lot. Not only is it a spiritual destination, Tay Ninh is becoming a unique cultural tourist destination with many attractive experiences," said Mr. Son.

Spiritual tourism is not the only reason why many people choose to come here. Besides famous destinations such as Ba Den Mountain, Cao Dai Holy See or Go Ken Pagoda, Tay Ninh is also investing in developing cultural tourism with a series of attractive festival events such as the spring festival at Ba Mountain at the beginning of the year, vegetarian food festival, Quan The Am Bodhisattva festival, or the upcoming Ba Den festival which will be recognized as a national intangible heritage.
Possessing up to 8 intangible cultural heritages, Tay Ninh is one of the few localities with a unique cultural and spiritual life in the Southern region. The most well-known cultural heritages here include the art of Don Ca Tai Tu, the Chhay Dam drum dance with Khmer cultural characteristics, all of which are being uniquely recreated in festivals at Ba Den Mountain.

"If exploited properly, these will be unique and special tourism products of Tay Ninh, attracting tourists to experience. In addition, it is necessary to add many entertainment, eco-tourism and large-scale resort items to create key tourism products, attracting Vietnamese and international visitors," said a representative of Sun World Ba Den Mountain.
