With beautiful rocky beaches, delicious cuisine, and convenient transportation, the number of tourists coming to Binh Thuan has increased sharply, and many resorts are fully booked at the end of the year.

The information was announced by Mr. Bui The Nhan - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province, at the conference to promote the new destination of Ke Ga on November 30 in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Mr. Nhan, since the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway came into operation, along with the routes connecting Binh Thuan, Lam Dong, Vung Tau..., the number of tourists coming to Binh Thuan has increased. Reports from accommodation establishments show that many resorts are in a state of "full rooms" from now until the end of December.

Mr. Julian Moore, General Manager of Azerai Ke Ga Bay, also said that thanks to its location on a beautiful beach facing Ke Ga Bay, 500 meters from the oldest lighthouse in Vietnam, his company's hotel is often fully booked on weekends.

According to Mr. Nhan, the whole province is estimated to welcome about 8.3 million visitors this year, exceeding the set plan and increasing by nearly 40% compared to 2022. International visitors reached about 220,000, and domestic visitors were about more than 8 million. International visitors increased by an average of 2 times per year; domestic visitors increased by 14.8% per year. Total revenue from tourists reached 19,500 billion VND, ranking among the localities with tourism revenue of over 10,000 billion VND.

"In 2024, Binh Thuan expects to welcome 8.8 million visitors, of which Ke Ga - a new destination - strives to reach 3.5 million visitors," said Mr. Nhan.

To achieve the above goal, according to Mr. Nhan, the province is actively developing attractive tourism programs to attract visitors, implementing the project to build a national sea tourism and sports center. The Department of Tourism has also just submitted to the provincial People's Council a plan to turn Mui Ne tourist area into a national tourist area - a leading destination in Asia - Pacific by 2040.

The province is focusing on investing in the construction, upgrading and completion of infrastructure for Phan Thiet airport in Thien Nghiep; the Mui Ne boat anchorage area; lifeguard stations at coastal beaches; and completing the night-time economic development project.

Binh Thuan is also attracting investors to develop strong tourism infrastructure. The whole province has 382 valid approved tourism investment projects, with a total land area of ​​6,031 hectares and a total registered investment capital of VND74,296 billion.
