Conductor Tran Nhat Minh conducts 2 Christmas concerts

It has become a tradition for HBSO to stage a special program for the festive season. Over the years, the Christmas concert has also become a highly anticipated program for music lovers in Ho Chi Minh City. This year's program brings memorable Christmas melodies selected from different styles, eras and countries, arranged and conducted by conductor Tran Nhat Minh (pictured).

Christmas seems to have become a cultural activity independent of religion, which can be seen in the many popular songs associated with this holiday (audiences will immediately recognize hits such as Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Jingle Bells ); the universality of Christmas is also expressed in the song Pietà, Signore! by Alessandro Stradella. In particular, movies are also an indispensable part of Christmas, with special excerpts from the soundtracks of Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence and Christmas at the Movies.

To renew the above works, HBSO has gathered outstanding Vietnamese performing artists: Pham Trang - Deputy Head of the Opera Troupe and soloist of HBSO, Duyen Nguyet (graduated with a master's degree in vocal performance, has performed in many places around the world), Dao Mac (graduated with honors from the Vietnam National Academy of Music in classical vocal music), Phan Hong Dieu (graduated with a master's degree in vocal performance), Vo Nguyen Thanh Tam (won many Vietnamese awards) with the Opera Troupe and the HBSO Symphony Orchestra.
