Amazon founder reclaims title of world's richest person

Jeff Bezos' net worth is $200 billion, while Elon Musk's is $198 billion. According to this index, Elon Musk lost about $31 billion over the past year, while Jeff Bezos made $23 billion. Yesterday alone (March 5), Tesla shares fell more than 7%.

The title of world's richest person changes every few months. Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk and Bernard Arnault have been vying for the top spot for months. Previously, Arnault, CEO of LVMH, which owns luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior and Celine, had also achieved the title when his fortune increased sharply due to booming luxury sales, pushing up LVMH's stock price.
