At the program, artist Truong Giang shared: “All children participate in the tournament to express themselves and have fun with their teammates. This is a playground, not a competition. Therefore, children should play with all their heart and carefree. Their experience in this tournament is a beautiful memory marking a pure childhood memory, full of healthy energy and a healthy sportsmanship spirit.”
The Ho Chi Minh City Student Basketball Sports Tournament is an important tournament in the city's competition system. This playground also contributes to finding bright faces to compete in national student basketball tournaments. The tournament takes place from March 29 to April 15, with the participation of 42 elementary school basketball teams from 21 districts in the city.

Mr. Huynh Trong Khai - Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Basketball Federation said: “The tournament is an important activity in developing the sports movement right at the primary level, solving the problem of creating playgrounds for children, reducing the pressure of studying for children. This is also an event that contributes to the development of basketball in Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh City Basketball Federation always wants to create more healthy and fun sports playgrounds to help students, especially primary school age. The tournament is a professional sports playground with thorough investment in both expertise and facilities. I believe that this will be a foundation tournament for larger-scale sports events in the future in Ho Chi Minh City”.
