
On the morning of October 13, at Vinh University, Nghe An Department of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Department of Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprises, the National Startup Support Center and related departments, branches and associations organized a Workshop on Promoting linkages and developing the innovative startup ecosystem in the North Central region.
The workshop was attended by nearly 500 delegates representing leaders of institutes and departments under the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Startup Support Center, the National TechFest technology villages, and representatives of the Department of Science and Technology of 8 provinces and cities; investors, investment funds, research institutes, universities and colleges, startups, etc.

The workshop was organized to raise awareness, strategies and action plans for leaders of the North Central region in directing and operating the construction and development of local innovation and startup ecosystems in conjunction with regional and national economic development goals on innovation. At the same time, it assessed the current status of implementing startup support activities in localities in the past and made recommendations for the coming time.
The workshop listened to presentations, focusing on 4 groups of issues: Current status of linking and developing the startup ecosystem, innovation in localities in particular and the North Central region in general; Tasks and solutions on linking and developing the startup ecosystem, innovation in localities in particular and the North Central region in general; Sharing experiences of provinces on linking and developing the startup ecosystem, innovation of localities; Proposing solutions to link and attract resources to support the local startup ecosystem, innovation in combination with provinces in the region.

In Nghe An, in recent years, the startup movement in the province has developed encouragingly, creating the premise for the formation of a vibrant and creative startup ecosystem. Accordingly, Nghe An has promptly issued many programs, policies, and plans to support innovative startups; Linking organizations supporting innovative startups at universities and research institutes, fund organizations, and investors to Nghe An.
Through competitions to find innovative startup talents, within 4 years, there were over 400 projects participating in the competition, of which 54 excellent startup projects and ideas were awarded by the Provincial People's Committee.
In particular, the competition has attracted the attention of many funds and investors inside and outside the province; many start-up projects have been supported by businesses and universities with experts, scientists, funding for research, product completion, intellectual property registration, support for houses, factories, equipment, premises for production, production and trade cooperation, etc.

In the coming time, Nghe An will continue to promote the development of the innovative startup ecosystem in both depth and breadth; becoming a regional innovation startup center with a leading role in the region's innovation ecosystem.
