“Raising microbial herbal chickens under anise canopy” won the Special Prize of the Northern Regional Women's Entrepreneurship Competition

Ms. Ly Thi Nga, Lang Son province with the project of raising microbial herbal chickens under the canopy of anise trees won the special prize in the final round of the Northern region of the "Women's Creative Startup and Green Transformation" Competition in 2024.

The top prizes of the 2024 Northern Region Women's Entrepreneurship Competition have found worthy owners. This is a recognition of the determination, creativity, overcoming difficulties, challenges, barriers, and gender prejudices of women in the region. 37 Startup Projects from 21 provinces and cities participating in the final round are excellent projects that have passed the scientific and fair scoring round of the Jury - experienced national startup support experts with deep expertise in the fields of science and technology, support for innovative startups, agriculture, investment, technology transfer, and fashion.

The Organizing Committee presented flowers to thank the Jury of the Competition.

On the morning of October 2, the Award Ceremony of the 2024 Northern Region "Women's Creative Startup and Green Transformation" Competition was held by the Vietnam Women's Union in Hanoi, honoring and awarding outstanding Startup Projects.

Of which, 19 projects were awarded the Encouragement Prize, each worth 4 million VND; 08 projects were awarded the Third Prize, each worth 6 million VND; 05 projects were awarded the Second Prize, each worth 8 million VND; 03 projects were awarded the First Prize, each worth 12 million VND and 01 Special Prize worth 15 million VND. Specifically:

Ms. Dao Mai Hoa (left cover), Deputy Head of the Department in charge, Department of Supporting Women in Economic Development, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest and Mr. Pham Duc Nghiem, Deputy Director of the Department of Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprises, Ministry of Science and Technology - Chairman of the Jury, awarded the First Prize to the projects.

03 First prizes include:

1. Ms. Vu Thi Ha, Ha Giang province, with the Brocade Weaving Cooperative Project, Van Chai B village, Van Chai commune, Dong Van district, Ha Giang province, Brocade Weaving Cooperative - will receive the Certificate and the Contest logo through the Women's Union of Ha Giang province;

2. Ms. Tran Thi My Hai, Hanoi city, with the Project of Perfecting technology and enhancing the production capacity of bast fiber by cottonization method suitable for spinning on short fiber spinning line, serving the high-end green fashion industry from pandan leaves, Vietnam Natural Fiber Research, Investment and Development Joint Stock Company;

3. Ms. Pham Thi Nhung, Thai Nguyen province, with the Project of Applying technological solutions to serve the recovery of agricultural and forestry by-products towards green energy, Thai Nguyen ToTa Cooperative.

05 second prizes include:

1. Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh, Thai Nguyen province with the Project of Applying science to develop a circular medicinal agricultural chain towards organic production to create green energy, Thien Phuc Medicinal Agricultural Cooperative;

2. Ms. Che Thi Hang, Hanoi with the Project of Improving production capacity towards green and sustainable transformation and developing the market for female hormone pills Verasunshine for Women - Vera Sunshine Pharmaceutical Trading Company Limited;

3. Ms. Pham Thi Huong, Thai Binh province with the Project of Circular Green Agricultural Production combined with Experiential Tourism of Thai Binh Organic Farm Cooperative - Due to work conditions, Ms. Pham Thi Huong watched the Award Ceremony via Livestream and will receive a certificate with the Contest logo through the Thai Binh Provincial Women's Union;

4. Ms. Lu Thi Toan, Dien Bien province with the Project of Developing Community Tourism associated with Green and Sustainable Tourism, Lu Thi Toan Business Household;

5. Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Cham, Hai Phong city with the Project of Producing cosmetics from natural herbs, Chavigreen Company Limited.

Ms. Tran Thi Thu Ha - Deputy Head of the Department of Supporting Women in Economic Development - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest and Mr. Mac Quoc Anh - Vice President, General Secretary of the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises went on stage to present the Third Prize.
