Nghe An solemnly held the opening ceremony of the Lotus Village Festival 2024

The 2024 Sen Village Festival is held to commemorate the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, while introducing and promoting the culture of Sen Village, Nghe An homeland, to domestic and international tourists.

Every May, when the lotus season is in full bloom, in the homeland of Nam Dan, every citizen respectfully remembers and is infinitely grateful to President Ho Chi Minh - National Liberation Hero, World Cultural Celebrity, the beloved Leader of the Vietnamese people.

On the evening of May 11, at Lang Sen Stadium, Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District, Nghe An Province, the opening ceremony of Lang Sen Festival 2024 and the art program "Sun of Vietnam" were solemnly held to celebrate the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024), the 55th anniversary of the day Uncle Ho sent his last letter to the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee (July 21, 1969 - July 21, 2024), and the 55th anniversary of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament (1969-2024).

Attending the program were General To Lam, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security; Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Mr. Ho An Phong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Major General Phan Van Sy, Deputy Chief of Politics of Military Region IV.

On the side of Nghe An province, there was Mr. Thai Thanh Quy, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council. Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province; leaders of the Fatherland Front, departments, branches and organizations of Nghe An province.

Representatives of the Ha, Hoang Xuan, Nguyen Sinh families in Nam Dan, and many local people attended the program.

Nghe An - the land of "Spiritual land and talented people", with a rich history, culture, patriotism and revolution. Nghe An people are always proud because throughout the history of the nation, in every era there have been heroes, heroes, famous generals and famous people who have contributed gloriously to the homeland. They are even more proud when Nghe An is the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the annual Sen Village Festival has become an important political and cultural event, through which everyone can understand more deeply his life and revolutionary career, contributing to further promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, promoting the tradition of patriotism, the morality of remembering the source of water, building a great national unity bloc for the cause of a rich people, a strong country, a democratic, equitable and civilized society.

In particular, this year marks the 55th anniversary of the day Uncle Ho sent his last letter to the Party Executive Committee of Nghe An province, and the 55th anniversary of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament. There are 4 things Uncle Ho instructed in the letter "What to do next", with the wish "I sincerely hope that the people and comrades of the province will strive to make Nghe An soon become one of the most prosperous provinces in the North".

Uncle Ho's advice is a guideline, a source of motivation, a great source of strength for the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An to promote the revolutionary spirit, concentrate resources, overcome difficulties and challenges, to successfully carry out his will, and soon turn Nghe An into a prosperous province in the North and the whole country.

This year's Sen Village Festival attracted a large number of locals and tourists from all over the country. The program aims to commemorate the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, introduce and promote the culture of Sen Village, Nghe An homeland to domestic and international tourists.

The event has many rich and diverse cultural, artistic and sports activities, notably: Sen Village Singing Festival with the participation of more than 600 artists and actors from 20 mass art troupes from districts and cities; Volleyball and traditional martial arts tournaments across the province; folk games associated with Uncle Ho's childhood activities in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district.

Along with that is a street performance program with the theme "Lotus blooming homeland", photo exhibition "Nghe An following Uncle Ho's words" and "Ho Chi Minh - He is the belief in certain victory" at Ho Chi Minh Square. In addition, there is also the marathon "Journey to Lotus Village" - an outstanding sports activity with more than 3,000 domestic and foreign athletes participating.

In particular, this year the festival has art performances, military music, and cavalry with the participation of the Song and Dance Theater, the Brass Band, the Ceremonial Team, and the Cavalry Team of the Ministry of Public Security.

The 2024 Sen Village Festival will take place from May 11-19 as an opportunity to promote Nghe An culture, the land and people of Nghe An, dynamic, friendly, always open to opportunities for cooperation and development.
