Apple has just released iOS 18.4 RC 2 to developers for testing. It is known that this beta version appeared just 7 days after the "Apple" released iOS 18.4 RC earlier this week.

Developers can now download iOS 18.4 RC 2 on compatible iPhones by going to the Settings app > General > Software Update.

Unfortunately, Apple's release notes do not reveal what new features the new iOS 18.4 beta brings. Analysts believe that iOS 18.4 RC 2 is just a minor update, used by Apple to fix remaining bugs before the official version is released to users in the next few weeks.

With the iOS 18.4 update, Apple is adding Apple Intelligence's Priority Notifications feature, which is designed to determine which notifications are most important and then highlight them in a dedicated, easy-to-see section on the lock screen.

The update includes a new Apple News+ Food section for ‌Apple News‌+ subscribers, and adds a Sketch style to Image Playground so you can create images that look hand-drawn. ‌Apple Intelligence‌ is also available in more languages, including French, German, Portuguese (Brazil), Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified), along with localized English for Singapore and India.

iOS 18.4 also brings new emoji characters and a dedicated Vision Pro app that lets Vision Pro users find and download content, manage headphones, and control guest experiences, right from their iPhone. The iPadOS 18.4 update also brings Mail Categorization to iPad and a new Ambient Music feature for playing relaxing music from Control Center.
