Charhar Institute was founded in 2009 by Mr. Han Fangming, former Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and is a famous Chinese Think-tank. The Institute provides expert assessments and perspectives on diplomacy and international relations, mainly researching issues in relations between China and countries and organizations around the world, presenting viewpoints, and proposing informal recommendations to the Chinese Government in foreign policy making. This organization currently has affiliated offices/centers in many localities of China and some countries in the region.

At the meeting, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh shared about Vietnam's development vision in the coming time, such as bringing the country into a new era, an era of national development with the top priority being to successfully implement two 100-year strategic goals to 2030 and 2045. At the same time, the Vietnamese diplomat also introduced the implementation of the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus of the political system towards enhancing efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency, contributing to perfecting the institution, developing the country, receiving the support of the entire Party and people.

Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh affirmed that Vietnam consistently implements a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation, multilateralization, diversification of foreign relations, proactive and active international integration. Currently, Vietnam is implementing an open trade policy through 17 free trade agreements (FTAs), including new-generation FTAs, ready to expand and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with countries around the world, including China, contributing to peace, cooperation and sustainable development of the region and the world.

The two sides agreed to further promote cooperation and exchanges between research institutions and think tanks of the two countries, actively advise on effective measures, and link theory with practice to promote the development of each country and bilateral relations in the coming time.

President of Charhar Association Han Phuong Minh expressed his interest in Vietnam's measures to realize the country's development goals. Highly appreciating Vietnam's strong implementation of the revolution in organizational apparatus, Mr. Han Phuong Minh said that this is the right policy of the Party and State of Vietnam, in line with historical laws, the world's development trend and the country's development situation, meeting the people's aspirations.

According to Mr. Han Phuong Minh, in the context of the current complicated world situation, developing countries need to promote the domestic economic "circulation", improve self-reliance, and continuously expand partnerships in areas such as supply chains, technology transfer, etc.
