On the evening of April 18, at Binh Minh Square (Cua Lo town), Nghe An Provincial People's Committee held the opening ceremony of Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2024 with the theme "Cua Lo - Aspiration to shine" and announced the national intangible heritage of Yen Luong Temple Festival.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee emphasized that Nghe An, with its name of more than 990 years, is proud to have been a land of the border, an important town of the country, a place with a long tradition of patriotism, resounding with revolutionary spirit, a place where many historical and cultural values with rich identity converge.
Coming to Nghe An, tourists will see, hear and discover the attractive and diverse features of nature, history, culture and people of Nghe An, blending to create a beautiful picture of the countryside imbued with humanity. In that colorful picture, Cua Lo stands out with the vitality and dynamism of a coastal tourist city, considered the "green pearl of Nghe An".
Tens of thousands of tourists came to watch the opening ceremony of Cua Lo Tourism Festival.
In particular, this place has many tourism services, entertainment areas, and high-class resorts such as Vinpearl Cua Hoi resort, Cua Hoi entertainment area, and Dao Ngu eco-tourism area.
Cua Lo is also a convenient connection point with tourist attractions of Nghe An - Ha Tinh provinces via the coastal road, across Cua Hoi bridge connecting the two banks of Lam River.
At the opening night of the 2024 Cua Lo Tourism Festival, delegates and visitors enjoyed the art program "Cua Lo - Aspiration to Shine" with the participation of many famous artists, an artistic fireworks display and a drone light show combined with sound.
Visitors can watch drone shows and artistic fireworks displays.
Within the framework of the festival, there are activities such as the fishing festival at Lang Hieu temple, Nghi Hai ward, street music and night food festival, the art program Ve mien vi giam , sports competitions...
In 2024, Cua Lo strives to welcome 4.15 million visitors, with revenue from tourism services expected to reach 4,200 billion VND.
At the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Nong Quoc Thanh presented the Decision to recognize the National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Yen Luong Temple Festival, Nghi Thuy Ward, Cua Lo Town.
This is a folk festival associated with the worship of the Four Holy Ladies and the gods of fortune of coastal residents. This is also one of the most unique traditional festivals of Nghe An, expressing many unique elements of coastal culture, passed down for hundreds of years.
