Tet holiday stroll on the "roof" of the West

On February 13, Mr. Dinh Van Chac, Director of the Cam Mountain Tourist Area Management Board, said that during the 4 days of the 2024 Lunar New Year, tourists coming to Cam Mountain (An Hao Commune, Tinh Bien Town, An Giang Province) were very busy and crowded.

"This year, the number of visitors decreased by about 5% compared to last year, but overall it is very positive in the context of economic difficulties. I see the optimism, joy and excitement of tourists when walking on Cam Mountain" - Mr. Chac happily said.

People in An Giang often say: "This Tet is still the same as the old Tet, still going to Cam Mountain, still hoping for peace". That is why, going to Cam Mountain - the "roof" of the West - during Tet is a good custom of the people here.

Right from the first day of Tet, tourists flocked to Cam Mountain in large numbers.

The line of cars was bustling at the gate.

To go up the mountain, visitors can take the cable car (at the gate of Cam Mountain Cable Car Tourist Area), by tour bus or motorbike taxi.

The place where the Maitreya Buddha statue (33.6 m high) sits is always crowded with tourists.

Visitors sincerely pray for good things in the new year.

Besides the location where the Maitreya Buddha statue sits, the Big Buddha Temple is a place where many tourists come to worship.
