In 2024, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will maintain 3 admission methods as in previous years. The total admission target is 9,260 students in 64 majors/training programs, including 36 mass programs (standard programs), 23 CLC programs (ELITECH programs of Hanoi University of Science and Technology), 2 PFIEV programs and 3 international training joint programs.

Maintain 3 stable admission methods

Hanoi University of Science and Technology maintains the same 3 admission methods as in 2023 with the following quota allocation ratio: 20% of the quota for the Talent Selection method, 30% of the quota for the Admission method based on Thinking Assessment test scores, and 50% of the quota based on the 2024 High School Graduation Exam scores.

Associate Professor Vu Duy Hai, Head of Admissions and Career Guidance Department of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, said that the allocation rate for each training program is different, candidates should study carefully to register for appropriate admission. The admission policy of Hanoi University of Science and Technology from next year is to reduce the quota for considering high school graduation exam results, increase the quota for considering thinking assessment test results, and maintain the quota for considering talent.

Specifically, for IT1 (computer science), the target for high school graduation exam results is 15 (5%)/300 targets. 80% of this target is allocated for talent selection and 15% for thinking assessment.

IT-E10 (data science and artificial intelligence - advanced program) has 100 quotas, only 5% of which are for high school graduation results, 80% for talent selection, and 15% for thinking assessment.

IT2 (computer engineering) reserves 10% for high school graduation results, 75% for talent selection.

Talent selection method

Area 1.1: Hanoi University of Science and Technology will directly admit excellent students according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; admission is based on international certificates SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP and IB; admission is based on capacity profile combined with interview.

Area 1.2: Candidates applying for admission based on international certificates must have an average GPA of 8.0 or higher in each year of grades 10, 11, and 12; have at least 1 of the following international certificates: SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, and IB.

Area 1.3: With admission based on competency profile combined with interview, the condition is that candidates graduate from high school in 2024, have an average score of 8.0 or higher in cultural subjects in each year of grade 10, 11 and 12....

Admission method based on thinking assessment test scores

Thinking Assessment Test (TSA) organized by Hanoi University of Science and Technology, admission requirements are when candidates have graduated from high school, reaching the thinking assessment score threshold prescribed by Hanoi University of Science and Technology (announced later).

Admission method based on 2024 high school graduation exam scores

Admission requirements: Candidates must have graduated from high school and meet the minimum score set by Hanoi University of Science and Technology (to be announced later). Admission combinations A00, A01, A02, B00, D01, D07, D26, D28 and D29 (depending on each training program).

Tuition increase in the 2024 - 2025 school year

For the 2024 intake (K69), tuition fees for the 2024 - 2025 school year are as follows:

Standard programs: 24 to 30 million VND/school year (depending on the major);

ELITECH programs: 33 to 42 million VND/academic year, except for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IT-E10) and Logistics and Supply Chain Management (EM-E14) programs with tuition fees of 64 - 67 million VND/academic year;

International Professional English Dual Degree Program (FL2): 45 million VND/school year (including registration fee);

Programs with other foreign language output standards (international programs) and international training partnerships (foreign partners awarding degrees): 24 to 29 million VND/semester (for TROY-BA and TROY-IT programs, there are 3 semesters per academic year)
