On the morning of October 30, the East-West Road in Buon Ma Thuot City (now named Vo Nguyen Giap Road) was officially put into use after 8 years of construction. The project has a total length of 6.9 km, starting at the intersection of Le Duan - Dinh Tien Hoang Street; ending at the intersection of National Highway 27 and Dam San Street (the road to Buon Ma Thuot Airport) with a total investment of more than 1,239 billion VND.
The East-West Road plays an important role in promoting traffic connections between localities in the province, forming the main traffic axis in the Southeast of the city, gradually expanding the urban space, creating space for infrastructure development in surrounding areas along the road. At the same time, it reduces the pressure of traffic volume concentrated on the central roads during rush hour.
