According to RT , the Russian Ministry of Defense has just released a video of a missile attack destroying Ukraine's S-300 air defense system deployed in the Donetsk region.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced on September 3 that Russian forces used Iskander ballistic missiles to attack the S-300 air defense site near the town of Pokrovsk, located about 67km northwest of Donetsk.
Drone footage of the attack shows the Ukrainian air defense system destroyed by a huge explosion.

The S-300 is a Soviet-designed surface-to-air missile system that has been in service since the late 1970s and has many variants. The Ukrainian military is currently equipped with several other S-300 air defense systems inherited from the Soviet era.
While Ukraine only has the S-300 in its arsenal, Russia operates the more advanced S-400 and S-500 systems.
Earlier, in late January, the Russian Defense Ministry said its military had attacked S-300 air defense missile systems in the Cherkasy region, as well as aviation and fuel depots of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Kirovograd and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
According to the statement of the Russian Defense Ministry: "Russian tactical aviation, drones, missiles and artillery attacked S-300 air defense missile systems in the Cherkasy region, fuel and aviation weapons depots in the Kirovograd and Dnepropetrovsk regions over the past 24 hours."
In addition to the S-300 system, in late February, the Russian Defense Ministry said it had destroyed a launcher and reloading vehicle of Ukraine's Patriot air defense system in Kherson.
"The coordinated strike with high-precision weapons hit the launcher, tractor, ammunition and transport-loader of the US-made Patriot complex," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a combat report on February 22, along with a video of the raid.
