To increase the value of agricultural products, meet the trend of modern agricultural production, and build new rural areas, trade promotion plays an important role. Thanks to the diversification of consumption channels, farmers' income in the province is increasingly raised, contributing to the construction of new rural areas.

Just on the opening morning of the 20th OCOP Craft Village - Product Fair in Hanoi, Bang Luan Pomelo and General Service Cooperative, Bang Luan Commune, Doan Hung District, sold several hundred pomelos at quite high prices. Mr. Nguyen Van Tan, representative of the Cooperative, shared: Thanks to this Trade Promotion Fair, pomelos and pomelo processed products of the Cooperative have been known and chosen by many consumers in the provinces and cities, creating a foothold in the market. Not only consuming through traditional channels, the Cooperative also promotes and introduces products on many other channels such as e-commerce trading floors, social networks, websites, etc. Thanks to that, in recent years, the production and consumption of the Cooperative's products have developed well, creating jobs and stable income for members.

Nowadays, people's production thinking is increasingly changing in a positive direction. People have focused on improving product quality, design, packaging design... In addition to consuming agricultural products through traditional commercial channels, with the development of information technology, farmers are also gradually approaching e-commerce channels, expanding the consumption market. At the same time, eliminating the idea of ​​small-scale production, self-production and self-consumption, forming cooperatives, from which there are plans and regulations in the production, harvesting and consumption of products, avoiding the situation of mass production, good harvest and low prices.

The “One Commune One Product” (OCOP) program has breathed new life into agricultural and rural production. Thanks to the program, hundreds of agricultural products have built brands for their products, had the opportunity to participate in programs and fairs to promote and sell their products inside and outside the province, contributing to expanding the product consumption market.

To date, the province has had 237 products evaluated and classified as OCOP products, of which 1 product has achieved 5-star rating, 54 products have achieved 4-star rating, and 182 products have achieved 3-star rating. The OCOP program has attracted 172 entities from 126 communes and wards to participate. Thanks to the diversification of trade promotion forms, especially e-commerce, Phu Tho agricultural products have increasingly stable markets, increased value, producers are confident in investing, improving the quality of agricultural products, creating competitive advantages in the market.

Mr. Vu Quoc Tuan - Head of the Department of Rural Development affirmed that the participation of cooperatives and agricultural production and processing enterprises in the province in fairs and markets will help them develop their business, expand their markets, and focus more on the domestic market with the motto "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods"; promote and advertise brands, honor clean and safe agricultural, forestry and fishery products, and create a "bridge" between cooperatives, enterprises and consumers, between production and consumption.

In the coming time, localities will continue to promote trade for agricultural products, boost production development, increase income for farmers, and complete one of the most important criteria in the National Criteria for New Rural Development.
