Previously, patient NTL (38 years old, residing in Vinh Cuu District, Dong Nai) was admitted to the emergency room with severe abdominal pain, colic pain in the epigastric region down to the navel.
Through examination, ultrasound and CT scan, doctors at Hoan My ITO Dong Nai Hospital diagnosed the patient with peritonitis due to intestinal perforation caused by a foreign object, so surgery was indicated.
Accordingly, the doctor performed laparoscopic surgery to remove a foreign object, a 3 cm bamboo toothpick, from the patient's abdomen. At the same time, the hole in the small intestine was sutured and the abdominal cavity was cleaned and drained.
Currently, patient L.'s health has stabilized and he has been discharged from the hospital.
