Attracting foreign tourists

According to the Decision approving the "Master plan for Vietnam tourism development to 2020, vision to 2030", Vinh Phuc is located in the Red River Delta and Northeast coastal tourism region, belonging to the Capital sub-region, and is one of the localities nationwide that is prioritized to promote tourism promotion activities according to the plan.

Up to now, Vinh Phuc has affirmed its strengths in the field of resort tourism and spiritual tourism, combining the development of a number of types and products of conference tourism, tourism models combined with sightseeing, learning experiences...

The whole province has attracted 15 large projects of investors in the tourism sector with a total registered capital of over 2,600 billion VND; many famous tourist destinations and scenic spots have reached regional and world levels such as Tam Dao town, Tay Thien scenic relic site, Flamingo Dai Lai Resort, DIC Star Hotels & Resorts, etc.

In addition to a large number of domestic tourists, the province focuses on attracting international visitors from potential markets such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan (China)... to countries in Europe, the US, Russia... especially the "super-rich" group of visitors who come to travel, work and... spend money.

In the period of 2017 - 2024, the number of tourists to Vinh Phuc will average more than 6 million/year, of which international visitors will reach more than 36,000/year; total tourism revenue will reach nearly 2,000 billion VND/year. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, the whole province will welcome 26,500 international visitors, mainly from Northeast Asia and other markets with great potential for exploitation such as visitors from the US, Europe, India, etc.

This result is thanks to the province's development, promulgation and application of many separate mechanisms and policies in the field of tourism attraction and development. At the same time, it has effectively implemented many mechanisms and policies of the Central Government such as expanding the issuance of electronic visas; developing a unilateral plan to exempt entry visas for a period of time according to the Tourism Development Stimulus Program in 2025 for citizens of some countries in the European region such as the Republic of Poland, the Czech Republic, the Swiss Confederation... especially scientists, successful businessmen, leading experts in fields that Vietnam has a need for.

These moves not only contribute to increasing revenue and stimulating tourism development, but also open the "door" to welcome talent to invest, helping Vietnam in general and Vinh Phuc in particular develop the capital market, real estate, technology and many other fields.

Recently, Ngon Lua Viet Travel Service and Trading Company Limited, Phuc Thang Ward (Phuc Yen) has been cooperating with many international travel agencies, resort and hotel businesses... to build many new product groups suitable for each segment, taste, and international tourist market.

Mr. Dinh Van Viet, a tour guide of the company, said: Recently, Vietnam has become a destination for many billionaires, welcoming the "super rich" in the world to come to relax and experience such as billionaire Bill Gates - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Microsoft Corporation, billionaire Jensen Huang - CEO of Nvidia, the world's leading company in AI chip production...

These groups of tourists can spend up to 15,000 USD/day (equivalent to nearly 400 million VND), dozens of times more than the average tourist. This amount of money contributes greatly to the economy and creates and promotes the image of local tourism.

Vinh Phuc has great potential to welcome international visitors, especially the "super-rich" segment to experience their travel journey in Vietnam. Therefore, the company has been connecting with international travel and tourism service businesses to survey, approach reality and learn about the possibility of cooperation, organize tourism in localities, build new products to connect and cooperate in welcoming and serving international visitors to Vinh Phuc.

In 2025, Vinh Phuc strives to welcome more than 12 million visitors, including more than 10,000 international visitors; tourism revenue is estimated at more than VND 4,500 billion. To achieve this goal, the province continues to effectively implement the Government's policies, especially the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 34 on promoting tourism development, ensuring double-digit economic growth, creating a driving force for the development of other industries and sectors.

At the same time, proactively coordinate with relevant ministries, branches and localities to improve the effectiveness of linking the development and implementation of tourism stimulus programs associated with product and service packages, ensuring increased attraction of international and domestic tourists.

Encourage strategic investors to form complex tourism service areas, large-scale tourism service projects, high-quality shopping and entertainment centers in key areas. Develop types and service products that are of interest to tourists such as health tourism, agricultural tourism, eco-tourism, resorts, honeymoons, golf tourism, etc.

Organize unique national and international cultural, artistic and tourism events associated with the entertainment industry to create a “buzz” to attract and appeal to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. Apply digital technology, green and clean technology in tourism business; develop smart tourism to support and enhance the experience for tourists.

Direct localities and businesses to strengthen destination management, control capacity at tourist areas and spots, protect the environment, and strictly handle violations to create a synchronous, safe, civilized, and friendly tourism environment.
