According to the British Ministry of Defense, Moscow may be planning to move the S-400 strategic air defense system from the Kaliningrad region to Ukraine to compensate for losses on the battlefield.
British intelligence believes that the Russian Ministry of Defense appears willing to take risks in Kaliningrad, especially in the context of Russia suffering major losses in the S-400 (SA21) air defense system since late October 2023.
In another development, on the same day, in an interview with NBC News , Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, US Representative Mile Turner, said that Ukraine will not receive a new aid package from Washington for the remainder of 2023.
Mr. Turner emphasized that the main obstacle that makes it difficult for the US to continue supporting Ukraine is because this country needs to focus on solving security on its southern border.
Previously, according to some US lawmakers, Kiev would not receive support from Washington until mid-December 2023, and possibly even until 2024. Kiev no longer receives much support from the US as the Ukrainian army's counter-offensive campaign has reached a dead end.
According to John Kirby, Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the White House National Security Council, the US administration has spent about 96% of the allocated funds to support Kiev.
