From September 13 to 14, the North Central provinces will have moderate to heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain, with rainfall ranging from 40 to 80 mm, and in some places over 150 mm.

It is forecasted that from September 14, heavy rain in the North will decrease and continue in the North Central region.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns that it is necessary to be on guard against the risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas; heavy rain in a short period of time can cause flooding in urban areas. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Warning of thunderstorms and tornadoes at sea

Also on September 12, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the northern sea area of ​​the northern East Sea will have showers and thunderstorms.

It is forecasted that on the day and night of September 12, in the Gulf of Tonkin and the northern East Sea (including the waters of the Hoang Sa archipelago), there will be showers and thunderstorms, with the possibility of tornadoes and strong winds of level 7 - level 8.

In addition, on the day and night of September 12, in the sea area from Binh Dinh to Ba Ria - Vung Tau, the sea area west of the central East Sea has strong southwest winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7 - level 8; rough seas; waves 2 - 3 m high.

All vessels and other activities in the above sea areas are at high risk of being affected by cyclones and strong gusts of wind.
