Miss Charm’s homepage posted an announcement that MC Quynh Nga will represent Vietnam at this year’s contest. This news surprised many people and caused them to express mixed opinions.

Some comments on social media said that Quynh Nga's return to the competition was confusing and that there were many other more deserving candidates. The information caused controversy on beauty forums because she had dropped out of Miss Charm 2023.

Miss Charm debuted in 2019 but was postponed twice due to the Covid-19 pandemic. At that time, MC Quynh Nga was chosen to represent Vietnam. At the end of 2022, when the contest restarted, she decided to withdraw after a long time of thinking. Quynh Nga shared that although she felt regretful, she hoped the audience would support the new representative.

After Quynh Nga withdrew, MC Thanh Thanh Huyen was selected to participate in Miss Charm 2023 and entered the top 20. Quynh Nga took on the role of MC for the final night of Miss Charm 2023.

On February 24, 2023, Quynh Nga was introduced as National Director at Miss Universe Vietnam, but on January 18, 2024, she no longer held this position.

Quynh Nga was born in 1995, 1.68m tall, was in the top 10 of Miss World Vietnam 2019 and won many titles in other beauty contests. She currently works at VTV24 News Center of Vietnam Television, in charge of cultural and international news. Quynh Nga is highly appreciated for her beauty, communication skills and English proficiency.

Miss Charm 2024 will take place in Vietnam from December 9-21. The reigning Miss Charm 2023 is the Brazilian beauty, Luma Russo.
