On April 18, Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong, a former teacher with an indefinite contract waiting for the entrance exam at Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School (Krong Pak District, Dak Lak ) said that the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Lak Province had just issued a document urging the People's Committee of Krong Pak District to resolve the petition of him and 5 other teachers who had won the lawsuit in the case of having their labor contracts terminated but had not yet received compensation.
Accordingly, the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Lak province requested the People's Committee of Krong Pak district to report the results of handling the petition of 6 teachers to have a basis to respond to citizens according to regulations.

The incident began in March 2018, when the People's Committee of Krong Pak District issued a notice forcing 550 contract teachers to quit their jobs due to recruitment exceeding the quota. Six of the teachers filed a lawsuit, demanding compensation for being terminated illegally. By 2022, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Court ruled that the People's Committee of the district and two related secondary schools must jointly compensate the teachers a total of more than VND 1.47 billion.
On March 19, 2025, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee received a petition and reflection from Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong regarding the fact that the People's Committee of Krong Pak District and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School had not yet executed the judgment despite losing the lawsuit. Afterwards, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement Department to handle the case according to its authority and report the results to the Provincial People's Committee.
On March 24, the Dak Lak Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement Department sent a document transferring the direction of the Provincial People's Committee to the Krong Pak District Civil Judgment Enforcement Sub-Department for settlement.

On March 27, 2025, the Civil Judgment Enforcement Office of Krong Pak district received a transfer notice and confirmed that the unit had notified the settlement of the case because it had received many petitions from Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong.
According to the Civil Judgment Enforcement Office of Krong Pak district, the unit has repeatedly sent official dispatches requesting the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong Pak district to direct the District People's Committee, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School, and Ea Kly Secondary School (Krong Pak district) to enforce the judgment, but so far has not received any results.
A source from the Krong Pak District Party Committee said that next week the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee will meet and consider and resolve these issues.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong said that the delay in executing the sentence has greatly affected the lives of all six teachers.
"People are facing many difficulties in life, all of them are waiting for the above compensation," said Mr. Duong.
As VietNamNet reported, previously, after being fired, 6 teachers filed 2 lawsuits over labor contract disputes.
There are 5 former teachers at Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School who filed a lawsuit, authorizing Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong and a separate lawsuit by teacher Nguyen Thi Binh - former teacher at Ea Kly Secondary School.
In June 2022, the People's Court of Dak Lak province ordered Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School and the People's Committee of Krong Pak district to jointly compensate nearly 1.3 billion VND for their fault in unilaterally terminating the contracts of 5 teachers.
In April 2022, the People's Court of Dak Lak province also issued a verdict declaring that Ea Kly Secondary School and the People's Committee of Krong Pak district are jointly responsible for compensating Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh more than 175 million VND.
By October 2023, the People's Committee of Krong Pak district had submitted a request to the People's Committee of Dak Lak province and the Department of Finance of Dak Lak province to supplement more than 2.1 billion VND (including interest) to pay for 6 teachers, but was rejected. The case continued to be at a standstill.
